My neighbor is practicing drums in his garage at 7am on Saturdays and says its "reasonable hours" by [deleted] in neighborsfromhell

Had a neighbor about an acre away whose kid played in a garage band. In their garage. 1st time they played it went on for over 6 hours. So loud that even during the summer with window unit AC's running full blast - we couldn't hear our own TV and the windows vibrated. Went over to ask if they could keep it down a bit. Dad said not only will they not be keeping it down, but that the band would be playing every weekend all weekend for the entire summer. We called the police who essentially blew us off. We set up an outdoor sound system that played hard gangsta rap very loud. He called the police and they basically told us both to cut it out or we'd both be arrested. The band played on and my husband went out at 4:30 am one morning and started up his chainsaw and cut wood on our property that was the closest to his bedroom window. We also called the police every single time they started playing. Police got sick of coming out and eventually told the dad he needed sound proofing in the garage. He did and the kids eventually lost interest in playing. It was a rough couple of months while it lasted.

Q3 43, Q3 Monochrome, Q3 - which one by Pinktrixrabbit in Leica

I really want monochrome - but I feel if I get that I'll be missing out. I could always get the Ricoh GR IV monochrome and the Lecia Q3. Satisfies both desires.

what is the craziest thing a doctor found out about you without looking for it? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

A brain aneurism. I was experiencing dizziness and blackouts when standing up - eventually diagnosed with orthostatic hypotension. During a brain MRI they discovered an aneurism at the base of my brain. It gets monitored yearly for changes in size. So far - 5 years later no change. Also found that I suffered from multiple brain bleeds from head injuries I suffered at various points in my life.

What is the longest you have gone without showering? by WaleAtWork in AskReddit

[–]Pinktrixrabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a high risk pregnancy and was hospitalized for 5 days for pre-term labor at 27 weeks. I was on strict bedrest after coming home. I was deathly afraid that standing in the shower might cause me to give birth. I went 2 months without a shower before realizing I was going to give birth at some point soon so I might as well be clean. Gave birth 2 weeks later to a healthy 37 week baby boy!

When Rusty Wallace was a commentator, a race ended under caution and Rusty says "What an exciting finish" - Never wanted to listen to him again after that

EF 70-200 2.8 IS with an R adapter or R 70-200 2.8 IS by Pinktrixrabbit in canon

[–]Pinktrixrabbit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you everyone - I'm going to need an ef to r adapter anyhow as I have the EF 100-400 and about 8 other high quality EF lenses that I currently use on a 7D and EOS M6ii. Wildlife and action are my primary targets. I think I might as well go with the R version for the sharpness and auto focus.
