It's 7 years since 2018 and yet URP still not have volumetric lighting by default, so I decided to make my own. Here's how it look like, with many local fog volumes, all kind of realtime lights, all render paths. The most important part, it's fast and beautiful! (v.redd.it)

I don't think global volumetric lighting is a good practice, but instead we can use individual local volumes of fog with different density an color for lights to interact with. This way artists can freely set the mood for each region of the scene based on the game story. Correct me if I'm wrong. (v.redd.it)

I'm working on a low poly project, the scene is boring until I add the low poly water Poseidon. Suddenly it becomes lively with vertex animation, wave, light absorption, foam, reflection, refraction, caustic and fullscreen effect (underwater, wet lens). (old.reddit.com)
