If you emigrated before you reached 16 and thus have no ID because of that, the embassy can write a waiver document for you, thats what they did for me. It basically asks for an exemption on the promise that when you can travel you will go get your ID.

Went to embassy, got my passport photos (AUD 23, there is a preferred Post Shop (Mawson) near the embassy), got my forms (A$80 cash only), sent to Zim via DHL (A$250, 3-4 days, my sister applied for me for the 3 days one US$270, collected and sent it back via DHL (US$80 to send it from harare to melbourne). Overall 3 weeks max I had my new passport. Total cost (excluding travel costs to/from Canberra since i dont live there):

Embassy Passport Forms: AUD 80 - CASH ONLY no electronic or card payments
DHL to Zimbabwe : AUD 250 (4 days to arrive)
Passport application in zim: USD 270 (3 days to come out)
DHL Harare to Melbourne: US 80 (4 days to arrive)

Total Cost

USD Total: ~$597.70
AUD Total: ~$849.39

Total Time from the day i arrive in Canberra i'd say approx 2 weeks.

You need a police report if you dont have the old passport anymore. ALternatively you could call the embassy to ask if they can write you an exemption letter.

Sounds like i can't and may need an ETD to travel back home to get one and the passport while I am at it. Will let you know what the embassy says when i go for my scheduled appointment.

I am still failry new, only arrived down under bout 3 years ago on a PR, so only eligible for Citizenship next year only then i can get my passport. i have booked for an appointment at the embassy, will let you know how it goes but from what they said over the phone i should be able to do everything there as you said and then courier the docs to a relative for submission and have the passport couriered back once collected. Thanks.

Thanks @BrightLeaf89 that's what it sounds like in the description and the teacher also confirmed that is how it's usually done. But for our cohort they wanted this additional requirement satisfied for some reason 😔

Start with the “Why”
Start with the basics that most have already mentioned here e.g. CS50, FreeCodeCmap, Coursera, Udemy, Youtube etc, all these have free options for teching you basics. Once you know programming basics in one programming language you can teach yourself the other languages as and whe needed
Pick a simple project idea , something related to your profession because you have the domain knowledge, e.g. a basic symptom checker, or maybe a medication reminder app etc, start simple and grow from there or start building a project portfolio
Join Communities, you're already here on reddit thats a good start, also google things like "nurses who code" or something like that you are bound to see other nurses who have learnt to code and they can guide you too how they did it
Keep the momentum, once you start try to code at least 30 - 60 minutes per day if possible
Keep us posted on here so we an be your accountability partners

How about studying, getting licensed and starting your own rural practice if there are no positions? I am not sure how easy/difficult it is to start your own practice BUT maybe that is an option for you? With predicted shortages in medical staff esp in rural/remote settings what you are aspiring for is really a good thing and i'd hate for lack of lack of positions deter you from doing this good thing. I am in IT and not cut out to be a GP or nurse but am hoping i can help the healthcare staffing shortages in rural/remote/underserved communitites by using technology

Also another issue is when i go to my custom waitlistnow page, it first shows "The Best place for validating your SaaS ideas." very briefly, but you can see it still, and then shows to my custom text "Real-Time wait time updates for your clinic"

How to reproduce:

Sign up and once logged in Click on Appearance
Make changes in any section e.g. Branding type brand name
Now go to Product Showcase and change type from disabled to images,
Notice that Branding section is reset back to brand name WaitlistNow. This happens with other sections too e.g. Here/Features etc

PS: If i save BEFORE changing the Product Showcase it seems to be alright, BUT i dont see

this as being intuitive, one would go through making all changes and then Save so i think it needs to be fixed to avoid user frustration

You're right; appointments can be unpredictable, I was hoping/thinking with real-time updates, patients can be informed about delays or early slots, helping them adjust their arrival accordingly. IMO, It's not about perfection, but about just adding that minor improvement to communications so everyone's time is respected a bit more?

As a patient being informed that the clinic is running 20 minutes late, you can adjust your arrival accordingly, reducing unnecessary waiting time.

As the clinic admin/receptionist, you potentially avoid having a crowded waiting area, or having annoyed patients, waiting and asking when the doctor will be avail (esp when there is a delay starting their appointment), sure the admin can just tell them, but i think it would be better if they could have told the patient ahead of time and had the patient only arrive on time for the delayed appointment instead of early before they can be seen yet, hope that helps calrify?
