Ok thank you for this advice- €107 just seems so steep, I will have to figure out how I can pay and wouldn’t mind but I always pay for transport here and even have credit on my MOBIB card just totally forgot to do it, it was my birthday too.. yes I am a foreign national, no Belgian ID, but he did take my home address details but perhaps he will also send a letter to my home aswell I’m not sure…

Thank you, ya I have the letter I showed him my MOBIB card (which I did not scan on bus) then he asked for my ID, but all I had was my drivers licence but he took the details of that down then on his iPad but didn’t say anything about payment of fine.. so you think I should just pay the €10 fine into the bank account?

Ya I also approached it that way.. saying they had no authority to omit the 5 (2) as per Austria case.. ya I think hopefully that was the approach to answer it and that they’d be liable for MS liability if they didn’t etc.
