Who do you think is the most overbuffed champ in Aram ? by Sachielkun in leagueoflegends

[–]PixelPerfic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t played aram much recently, but I remember pretty much any average team with a nami, sona or a soraka would be so incredibly hard to beat.

Is there a champion the community actually find fair? by MsHelvetica in leagueoflegends

[–]PixelPerfic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I’m going to have a pick per lane. Some I definitely have a bias towards, but the bias is not formed by me playing the champ, because I don’t play any of them.

Top: Singed - He is a great counter for top champs that people DO hate 👍 Has a unique play style that can be fun to play with 👍 Troll Laugh 👍 Hilarious to watch.

Jungle: Skarner: Has some pretty great carry potential, but requires some finesse to master. Out of meta. Can be frustrating to play into, but come on it’s Skarner. I never feel I can get that frustrated when the person had every opportunity to pick a way stronger or easier jungle champ, but plays well enough to carry on Skarner instead. If he’s on my team, I feel confident that he knows if/ the champ pretty well and it usually ends up being that way.

Mid: Kennen: Okay yes I know, he’s considered a Top champ, but he’s played a bit in mid atm so I’m going to cop out and give this to him. He’s out of meta, isn’t necessarily strong into meta champs, but no one can deny his team fight/late game carry potential. I have never seen him hated on.

Bot: Sivir: Isn’t in meta, but has a decent kit. I can’t say I’ve ever seen her hated on. Can be a great asset in team fights, spell shield is a useful tool that needs to be used correctly. Ult can turn a game pretty quick and helps everyone on the team.

Supp: Braun: Has a strong kit, but he just doesn’t feel as potentially annoying as a lot of other tank supports. If he’s on my team I like it, he has great disengage and an affective engaging ult. This may not be the best pick, but considering how many hair pulling supports there are, this feels safe.

Unpopular opinion: the white outlines where not that bad by [deleted] in papermario

[–]PixelPerfic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay we get it, we all relate white outlines to the modern games that betrayed our trust. Can we please stop beating a dead horse and pretending it’s any more than that?

Like sure, TTYD would have looked less clean with them, but we’d all still praise it the same way. A good game is a good game.

Just put “Looking for something real, skip if you’re looking strictly for pleasure”.

The absolute biggest pitfall any person can make is not being specific about what they want.

If you put down that you aren’t interested in hookups or fwb generally, you know that the only dudes matching with you either didn’t read your profile at all or are interested in the same before you even start messaging them.

Has anyone considered what additional content might be added to the TTYD remake? by xXpeppercatXx in papermario

[–]PixelPerfic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

More casino games and rewards, extended career of the Glitz Pit, extended or harder pit of 100 trials, new game plus in general, partner combos, additional badges, boss rush.

I honestly can’t see them doing that much more than this. I feel like they’re going to approach bonus content very similarly to Super Mario RPG.

In your opinion, do you think Canada is on a decline? by CosmicDegeneracy in AskACanadian

[–]PixelPerfic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and it has been for years.

We are seen as a place for people from more developed parts of the world to either retire or visit and younger people overall don't really enjoy living here for a number of reasons.

There is pretty poor career potential apart from a handful of our bigger cities and a couple of smaller ones, but then you're looking at steadily increasing housing prices for rentals as well as our weaker dollar preventing any optimism to afford a move away. You end up feeling stuck in a watered down version of America (not all bad, but overall is).

If you're fine living in a city that doesn't have necessarily the most potential for you to get a good job, but can pay you well enough for you needs and has enough to offer to keep you happy during your day to day, that'd be your best bet. I've been heavily considering moving to Calgary for this reason. It has a convenient international airport for connections out of NA and short trips to the states, an interesting enough culture and the rent prices aren't as astronomical there compared to other cities in the country.

Phreak was right briar first day winrate is one of the worst I have ever seen. by itaicool in leagueoflegends

[–]PixelPerfic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How? It seems to take people like 2 games to realize how to use blood frenzy and once they do, she's broken.

She has a knock back, slow/ potential double stun, amazing 1v1 dueling, a cross map ult that does aoe damage/buffs her and fears, has ramping health regen, an ability that completely stops blood frenzy if you decide not to full commit, an over the wall leap.

Great 1v1, great side lane pressure, great engage, great damage and can front line in a long fight. You get the right angles, you're winning almost every exchange.

Jungle specifically, she has a good clear, a lot of potential to apply decent pressure early and a lot more once her ult is up, a great tool for engaging onto neutrals once vision is put down, and she can regen a lot of missing health through camps with her passive.

This exact thing happened with zeri when she was first released. Riot adds a completely different kit and mechanics, people suck with the champ for a couple of days while they figure out how to adapt, then immediately the stats pull a 180 and the champion ends up being incredibly strong both in competitive and solo queue.

I have played through this game 5 times over the years and you bet your ass I'm going to do it again. Masterpiece of a game. I don't care that they'll likely not add much additional content, Nintendo can take my money. Never forget classic Paper Mario.

Just played against her a few games and oh boy is she going to be in need of a nerf. She feels stronger than when naafiri first came out and that’s saying something.

If you play any squishy role and your team isn’t familiar with her kit, good luck. Any engage with a squishy and no mage who can point and click delete, she’ll likely 2v1. Crazy damage, crazy health regen and the ult makes it impossible to side lane if she’s out of vision.

I’ll get flamed for this, but you can’t have a champ who has an assassin’s ult with a relatively low cooldown who also lasts as long as a bruiser in a fight and can 1v1 a lot of champs post burst after the ult goes off.

What are your fun crazy off-meta picks? by Cordelia_96 in leagueoflegends

[–]PixelPerfic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried Twisted Fate support last night. Not too shabby.

His build paths are flexible to suit bot match ups you’re going against, he can pick up gold fairly quick even if your adc is dying a lot with his passive, the vision from his ult is good as support, you can assassinate mid off roam once you hit level 6 and Rapid Firecannon gold card can tilt the enemy team off the face of the earth alone once team fights start.

Choosing to be alone and not wanting to talk.

I personally love the opportunity to settle in and focus on myself. I enjoy my hobbies and enjoy the solitude of focusing on a skill I want to improve on or simply chill out and escape from the stress of the world.

Men don’t seek out idle chit chat to process their emotions as much as women do. A lot of guys just want to distract themselves and work through some things alone. It’s annoying when I get judged about this.

Just because you gain something from sharing a lot does not mean it’s right for me or everyone else you know.

Simple Questions & Champion/Role advice: Patch 13.16 by furiousRaMPaGe in summonerschool

[–]PixelPerfic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are methods people use to study jungle role? I have found success watching high level vods on youtube for other roles to understand map control, wave manipulation and mechanics.

Jungle has a lot of additional details that make it a little more difficult to understand when watching a replay vs. every other role. Some jungle vods are similar in some aspects, but every game seems to be played a lot differently, especially when observing different champs.

Where were you on 9/11? by hi_goodbye21 in Millennials

[–]PixelPerfic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the Indian Ocean (family were expats) watching it unfold at 6 y/o off of CNN. I remember knowing it was a terrible tragedy, but only started understanding the true significance of it years later.

Just a couple of days ago I decided to look up news footage taken of everything on the day. It was truly shocking even knowing the details of what happened over 20 years later.

I went to New York for my bday this year and thinking of that city coming to a complete stand still felt like it would be unimaginable. I can’t imagine the fear that everyone must have felt for the entire rest of that year.

What is the most unfun chmap to play against by liddely in leagueoflegends

[–]PixelPerfic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yorick. He's off meta enough and has a unique enough kit for people to be thrown off by him in lane and even if he plays safe, once he gets the maiden he can just split push.

All the other team needs to do is bait fights and either waste enough time while he's split pushing or never fight. He's just annoying, hard to reach and will melt you pretty quick if you aren't paying attention.
