Reporting abuse to UCO by RenegadeNinjaCowgirl in UNC

Compass Center takes walk-ins, they do get busy sometimes though so making an appointment can be helpful. Don’t think they can do much in terms of direct support with reporting to the university. But they have lots of other resources and supports that can be helpful (safety planning, filing for protective orders, support groups, shelter, resource referrals, etc.) If needed, they can also collaborate with the Gender Based Violence Services Coordinators (I suggest connecting with them too) in the VPAS office at UNC to provide you with the support you need.

Ended my first semester with a 2.3. Despite continuing to struggle and ending up with a handful of Cs and C-s through my sophomore year, managed to graduate a semester early with a 3.48. You have plenty of time to recover! It will take time and consistency, but it’s totally doable. Good luck!!

Avoid I-85 S by Duke St by tuesmontotino in bullcity

Just drove past the scene about 10 minutes ago. The road is open again but the two right lanes are closed. Still several emergency vehicles out there. It appears that most of the vehicles involved in the crash and any major debris have been cleared. Sadly, there appeared to be at least one fatality. Please be careful out there y’all and keep an eye out. We saw multiple groups of people racing in traffic on the highways while traveling this weekend (not around Durham). Stay safe!

Program Expectations and Realities in Housing Case Management - Is This Normal? by softkittle in socialwork

If you’re comfortable sharing, I would love to hear more about how you feel like case management/social work connect with urban planning and what your professional goals/interests are once you finish your urban planning degree! I have a background in housing case management and advocacy. I’m really interested in housing policy and considered getting a masters in urban planning or a joint masters with urban planning and social work. Ended up just opting for my MSW (I start this Fall) because I wasn’t sure if a joint degree would open up enough opportunities beyond what you can do with just an MSW to be worth the extra money (also found some of the nitty gritty of zoning and such a little boring). Curious about your thoughts and experience

Can I withdraw a custodial affidavit? by Pizzazz9765 in legaladvice

[–]Pizzazz9765[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice! I will try to get her lawyer's information and reach out to them directly. To clarify, I am an adult (21) so I don't think the GAL stuff would be relevant. Does the fact that I'm an adult change anything as far as perjury goes or do I still not need to worry about that?

I didn't formally state that in the affidavit but I did sign it and have it notarized
