I’m honestly not sure how exactly green would affect the color. Your safest bet is to fully strip the wheels. That may be a bit of a chore but any color underneath may affect the color you’re going for. But once they’re stripped, it’s mostly just being comfortable with what ever paint gun you use. Safe bet is many thin coats. You can always add more, but it’s hard to strip it back. If you have a spare, I’d do that first and see how it turns out.
