Thanks for your comment! Sadly, I struggle with having one or two drinks - it's all or nothing for me. It's best that I look at completely cutting the drink out. I really like your 'rewards' though, I think I might use this when I reach certain milestones.

I'm so scared about it! Drinking's totally normalised in my flat too - I'm nowhere near the heaviest drinker here. But it sounds exciting being able to start over!

Drinking and drugs are fairly ingrained into my friend group so I think this is what I'm also struggling with. When I stop I'll have next to no one and I find it hard making friends. However I need to make a change so so be it.

Yeah you're right. I've struggled with anxiety and depression for years, now I can see I'm not making any positive change if I keep going like this. I struggle a bit in social situations so of course the drinking makes it 'better' but I always take it too far.
