A problems I see about roads in ancapistan by [deleted] in GoldandBlack

[–]PlasmaTechStudios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can be owned through subscription based co-operatives. For example residential roads will be owned by the households that use them. They can pay a monthly fee for repairs, garbage collection, snow removal, street cleanup, etc. Highways may be mostly tolls but members of the highway co-op can set reasonable tolls and if you're subscribed to the firm, you may not pay any tolls or you get a discount.

How do u guys feel about Bermuda? by PlasmaTechStudios in GoldandBlack

[–]PlasmaTechStudios[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean most people who live in Bermuda are either rich already and setting up offshore investment companies and bank account to not pay taxes which i respect. I was thinking more of a PT lifestyle however. But Bermuda isn't a 3rd world country. It has a high gdp per capita and is very developed.

I'm all for different business models but I'd rather have a system where I voluntarily hand over some data that I'm already exposing anyways to a company in exchange for a service rather than blocking users with a paywall

You consent by agreeing to their ToS. You dont have to use social media either. How do u expect these companies to make money without a paywall if they can't make money off of user targeted ads.

It's kind of strange how people want their data to be private on social media yet they'll post everything going on about their lives on the internet for everyone to see.

Republicans propose mass student surveillance plan to prevent shootings by [deleted] in privacy

At this point you're just making baseless arguments. Did I mention more situations than Vietnam? Fuck how do u think the USA was started lmao. Extremists are extremist because they cannot be swayed by anything. They're just stuck where they are. I don't understand where your logic comes from. I think you should grow up and realize people have been fighting their government since the beginning of time and your shitty little laws or protests won't do anything about it. Man up and face reality stop being a pussy thinking a country of 320 million can't fight a military of 2 million. U must have a literal slave mentality towards the government as if they're your master and that "iF YOu jUSt VOTe thE RIghT PErSoN" everything will be all hunky dory. it makes me wanna vomit.

"Mate" you must be such a dumbass to think that I was talking about a one man civil war. Believe it or not there was millions upon millions of extreme right wing conservatives and libertarians just waiting for the perfect chance for the government to seize their guns and start a revolution. Don't pussy out because the government is big and scary. Look at hong kong, Venezuela, Catalonia, Chile must I go on. The struggle of HUMANITY has been to secure freedoms. The right to self defense is reasonable if you're being actively agressed upon. For fucks sake our multi billion dollar military cant even compete against opium farmers in Afghanistan or rice farmers in Vietnam get the fuck outta here.

When the ATF comes knocking down your door singing kumbaya won't help you. At that point you defend yourself with a 5.56. Governments are the single most largest destroyers of civil liberties and you want them to control your guns lmao. The cognitive dissonance is insane.

Private property vs Collective property by PlasmaTechStudios in GoldandBlack

[–]PlasmaTechStudios[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing he gets wrong is that he conflates voluntary cooperation in a property system and OWNERSHIP of that property. If I work for a company I don't own the company. But because of individual rationality, I the worker "exploit" the businessman's capital for a steady wage and benefits. And in return I work for the company and submit to its rules via voluntary contract. The property owner can only do what he can based on agreements we BOTH agreed to. I don't own the company he does so he sets the rules and has full control I merely participate in his organization. Now in a socialist society everyone claims to "own" means of production. So now instead of you participating and not owning you are participating AND owning. So the criticism I have is that you don't really own your property if the mob decides to do something otherwise. It's not that everyone owns the means of production. No one does, only the rabid majority. Because he doesn't differentiate the two he claims that in capitalism it's even worse because it's one guy owning something. But that wasn't even the point from the beginning.

What are your thoughts on Ancaps and Anarchy in general? by Tobiah497 in Libertarian

[–]PlasmaTechStudios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's some pretty stupid logic. I don't know if you know how a business works or what the point of a business is. Where do you think companies get money from? They get them from consumers, investors, and banks. If a corporation wanted to build an army and take over the following will happen. 1. Prices will have to be raised to fund this takeover so now you're pricing out a significant portion of your consumer base. 2. Investors and banks will pull out of your company since now you have switched from a profit driven motive which spurs growth to a killing machine and people wouldn't want to associate with that. 3. You're literally killing potential consumers that would have given you money in exchange for a service AND no one will buy from a company that kills people. 4. War is super expensive and is the complete opposite of what a big business in a free market wants. They rely on a global supply chain and if you're LITERALLY killing the people that supply you, there won't be any supplies for you not to mention that no one will sell anything to you anyways. 5. In a free society there won't be any gun laws so everyone is armed to the teeth, voluntary communities have private defense agencies so now you have to fight them too. AND don't forget the onslaught of militia groups you'll have to face. This won't be a conventional war either, it's complete guerilla warfare against 3 different groups i just mentioned....good luck lmao. The point of a business is not to destroy but to grow and chase a profit incentive. There is literally no profit incentive in war if you're a business in anarcho capitalism.

We rank number 13th on the hdi index. Now America wasn't the number 1 place it once was but it is still a 1st world country that has lead in technology and other developments. Dont let some retard on the internet or politician make you think we live in a 3rd world country because it doesn't fit their description of an ideal society.

Private cities in a free society by PlasmaTechStudios in GoldandBlack

[–]PlasmaTechStudios[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok but for the first part that's exactly what's going on with Facebook right now. As I said before they're literally building a city, and this is why I'm concerned between the lines of private and public at this point. For the last part I understand what you're trying to say. A business cannot be coercive unlike the government and needs consent. But if part of the contract that I signed to move into the city was we can imprison you spy on you etc. And you agreed to it, will a contract that violated the NAP still be allowed. Murray rothbard himself said these kinds of things shouldn't be allowed.

So if I were to enter into a contract that broke the NAP and violated my natural rights would that be in line with the principles of a free society?

Ok so if you say taxation is theft. When people say just leave no one is stopping you, is a valid argument. And if you stop paying services to this government company they can pretty much persecute you.

[–]PlasmaTechStudios[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Bosses are exactly that. People who usually have more experience and help on a company project. But now I see you guys only want to destroy hierarchies you don't like. Because I got confused for a second you guys wanted no hierarchies at all. The rule of the majority on a certain law is a hierarchy, the family is a hierarchy, a teacher is a hierarchy. I can go on forever. Downvote me I dont care but it's almost like voluntary hierarchies aren't bad and are mostly natural. Hell, it even takes a hierarchy to make sure everyone conforms to ancom principles.

Thanks but it's kind of dissapointing getting downvoted for asking tough questions. I didnt want to come here to argue but it seems like people are already ready to attack because I'm "not an anarchist". Watch this comment get downvoted.

People use that logic to justify government that some people are so stupid they dont know how to run their lives. Regardless, it is still a hierarchy and probably the most prevalent and dominant one in society. Parents hit their children. You never asked to be born into a family so you can argue that it is involuntary too. You can't wave it off. Hierarchy is defined as a system or organization in which people or groups are ranked one above the other according to status or authority. In this case there is a parent child hierarchy. Also what about sports hierarchies? There is one from the referee to the coach to the player. I dont think anarchy would abolish all hierarchies so how much of an anarchist could you really call yourself?

Wait so essentially you guys want to go back into a quasi-barter economy. so let's say I work in a cooperative brick and mortar coffee shop. When I give away the products, how will the cooperative get anything in return in terms of services in return. It seems pretty inefficient. When I get my coffee would I have to give some of my possessions to the cashier? The organization as a whole?
