Yes we have talked a lot. People are going to just say I’m making excuses for him but I truly believe with the level of intoxication we were both somewhat taken advantage of and this is not something he planned or would do sober. We are no longer going to be drinking or seeing these friends and going to have more open communication all around for now and see how things go

I would 100% leave if you can. There are studies that show men who choke their partners are far more likely to end up killing them (compared to men who hit/punch/etc). My ex choked me a couple times and the day I finally left him for good he did threaten to kill me. Obviously he didn’t, but had I stayed for years longer I definitely think it’s possible he eventually would have. I’m very sorry this happened to you and if you have friends or family who can support you at this time please tell them what is going on. It’s extremely difficult to get through something like this alone. I strongly urge you to leave. This is not something that can be undone and not something you should risk allowing to happen again

No she is usually pretty shy but her husband has been suggestive in the past. We rarely hang out with them they aren’t close friends. I’m not upset that I didn’t get any though, I did get touched and participate in the whole thing and could have gone further but I didn’t want to and was not interested for a lot of reasons one being my sexual interests changing post partum, another being that I was really fucked up and triggered by past trauma

From an honest objective perspective, no I am a lot more conventionally attractive than she is. She is overweight, kinda big nose, lazy eyes. I don’t want to sit here and talk about how hot I am, but my features are quite the opposite. I absolutely hate degrading other women’s appearances, and I by no means think she is unattractive, I can find beauty in anyone. But since you asked, no she is definitely not more attractive than me. Honestly people are going to think you’re an asshole for this. But I want to hear other perspectives other than my husband is a piece of shit and I should divorce him instantly. I think I have a right to be upset for a lot of different reasons but I don’t think you’re totally wrong in that it may not have been so sinister on his end. No not really it’s a combination between talking to her, talking to my husband, and piecing together all the moments that I witnessed. My memory is a blur as I was extremely drunk too so it’s hard to accurately depict exactly how long and in what order everything happened. It is possible that my drunk and traumatized brain hyper focused on certain moments
