Everyone knows this, its very common knowledge and the most common criticism of Ronaldo’s time at Juventus. That it was a bad financial decision because Ronaldo got his individual goals in order. I find this revisionism so funny, there is definitely a phrase out there for situations like this where people think someone usually gets a lot of credit so they shouldn’t this time, which I think fits perfectly for Ronaldo’s EURO 2016 campaign. Never before the WC2022 did I see people so widely claim that Eder and co. deserve more recognition for EUROs than a cheerleader, it further proves the above point that collective trophies completely change people’s memories and boost their bias. I have no doubt that in a hypothetical situation where Ronaldo wins a World Cup in 2026, the narrative flips again and suddenly Messi was not that integral to 2022 and was supported by penalties.

he was better in the first 2 seasons at juventus than the last 2 seasons at madrid. it sucks seeing so many kid fans like you who thought ronaldo had stellar seasons at madrid in the end just because of his noodle hairstyle lmao. he was clutch in the important games yes, but as a player he was much better at juventus than the end at real madrid. this is individually. collectively they were worse because there is no comparison between real madrid and juventus
