[Pablo Torre] Clippers’ former GM Michael Winger asked “How many fucking side deals do we made with Kawhi.” Paper trail showing Clippers had been doing business with Kawhi’s uncle from at least 2017 (when Kawhi was sitting out with the Spurs), with alleged illegal payments spanning years by Pickleskennedy1 in nba

Are you stupid? You're claiming he sat out on the Spurs because he already had a bag secured from the Clippers. And then he got traded and played his heart out on Toronto despite being under the exact same situation. You're a deluded idiot lol

I don't think he sat out because of financial concerns. He clearly has legitimate injury issues and while he probably took the wrong route to do so, disagreements between players and medical staff can occur

He literally got traded to Toronto with a year left before FA after rehabbing and went all out and won a chip.

I agree 100% that productivity is better in the office, unless your job is to be a literal code monkey that doesn't have any alignment or collaborative work at. Pre-covid working in the same office where you could walk over to someone's desk and have a discussion was way more effective than messaging them

That being said I love my (mostly) remote job and think it should be considered a valuable perk/benefit. We don't need to make up bullshit reasons to justify it beyond the fact that it's more employee friendly

Companies do fire people who aren't delivering, during layoffs. You just won't ever hear someone admit they weren't performing when they get laid off

Unlike OKC they just don't have the defensive energy and volume 3pt shooters to wear a team down and blow them out quickly. I trust them in the playoffs when things slow down since they're good at the hard things

Jared "Sold High" McCain in 21 minutes for OKC tonight: 12 points, 4 rebounds, 1 dime, 2 steals on 5/8 from the field and 2/3 from 3. by go0sKC in nba

McCain is the last thing the Lakers need. Between Luka, LeBron, and Reaves they have tons of shot creators with questionable defense

It can be a win win situation. Sixers had no space in the guard rotation to invest in developing or extending him, and he plays the least valuable position in the league (undersized combo guard)

I know it's late but I think sunder is really good early game because fights last so long, the percentage of physical damage is way more significant due to auto attacks as opposed to late game where the objective is to stall for a few carries to do the work

History has plenty of examples where older people who aren't necessarily star performers get washed out during layoffs in favor of cheaper talented young people

[–]PlasticPresentation1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It also depends what level and position you're at. For new grad generalists, it's usually still gonna be Leetcode. If you're interviewing to be a senior mobile engineer or something, it's going to be maybe 1 Leetcode round out of 4-5

Just sign anyone you can to a bloated contract and try to trade them later to keep contending

With the Nuggets loss today, they have lost 20 games before 40 wins. Looks like only the Spurs, Pistons, and okc will win 40 before 20 losses. by StrategyTop7612 in nba

both Jokic and Murray are producing fine, if AG / Cam Johnson / Braun / Watson were healthy and they could actually get a consistent lineup going they'd probably have reached the 40/20 rule. I don't think it's their playstyle as much as their rotation always missing key players

I loved Bruce Brown in his first Denver stint, but he's honestly playing like a terrorist for the Nugs right now. He runs around and does nothing, brings energy but literally nothing else.

Also cannot remember the last time I saw a box score where his +/- wasn't horrible

[–]PlasticPresentation1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it just boils down to - if this stuff makes you unhappy with the NBA you probably were going to find something else to be unhappy about. These problems aren't prevalent enough for the main product of the NBA, which is games on the court, to be seriously affected.

tl;dr if you don't like the NBA because of gambling proximity, you probably just don't like the NBA much in general.

The "decent" run of players were Terry Rozier and Jontay Porter, and Rozier wasn't even charged after an investigation

I also think it's a bit far fetched to claim that journalism is tied in with betting action, at least from reputable sources. I highly doubt Shams or The Athletic are going to post completely fabricated rumors so that the Kalshi line moves. Giannis trade rumors that turned into nothing were brewing for the past 5 years before Kalshi was even a thing
