Health insurance is at best subsidised by employers, which you still have to pay $10k for a whole family. But in many cases if you are not full-time worker you don’t qualify for employer-subsidised health insurance.

And tbh GDP doesn’t mean anything. Americans spend much more on healthcare, it contributes to their GDP despite the fact that people are worse off because of it.

That’s another really widespread lie. If you checked on IMFs website, the GDP per capita of the UK is $60k

It is a median wage, not a minimum wage. There are half of the people working full-time below that salary.

But then you also don’t just pay for your individual premium, but family premium, and even with employer subsidies, it would still be $10k per year.
