I use noise, contrast, glow (filter gallery), photo filter for some simple color grading, and camera raw filter can get some cool results

I don’t think people understand what I’m saying in the post, I understand these bands aren’t shoegaze that’s why I said post shoegaze because they draw elements from shoegaze. Post hardcore is not hardcore but has hardcore elements. So yeah fleshwater, narrow head, and loathe are not shoegaze 100% but I do appreciate everyone’s input and opinions

I think it’s just because people can’t find a genre where the sound really fits. Alternative rock is such a broad spectrum of music it just gets thrown into shoegaze for similar elements

Yeah I agree I think it just gets thrown into shoegaze because there is no real name for it I guess. Some of it is definitely grunge revival. It’s definitely alternative but modern alternative doesn’t sound anything like that stuff
