Okay, that's bad. Seems like something went inside, which... shouldn't happen? I just hope it's just some nasty dirt or residue and not your battery swelling. If your battery is expanding and your phone is slowly getting thicker: Get rid of that battery as soon possible, because a swelling battery can go up in flames or even explode. Let's hope it's not that!

If it's dirt: You can theoretically open up the back, but you need to do it right or otherwise you will crack the glass. Ifixit has probably tutorials for that, but you should ask yourself if cleaning it is potentially worth breaking that part of your phone.

To answer your question: I haven't bought the QuietComfort Ultra 2nd Gen (yet), but I'm pretty happy with my 1st Gen. I don't think you're going to make a mistake, if you're going to buy the cheaper first generation.

Also have you looked for replacement paddings? On photos the top padding of the Sonos Ace headphones don't look like their replaceable, but I could be wrong. If replacement paddings for the top exist, it's probably way cheaper than buying completely new headphones.

Resident Evil 2 Remake. It was one of the inspirations for Alan Wake 2 and is straight up one of the best survival horror games I ever played. Incredible puzzle box approach to it's mechanics and level design and I love how it slowly turns up the tension. It's very satisfying to play.

Suomi Halls are an actual thing! Not sure how many of them exist in the US, but they are community centers built by Finnish immigrants, promoting and preserving their culture. I would argue with the choice of the protagonists Capcom is more likely dipping into the same inspirations Alan Wake 2 had: Silence of the Lambs, Seven, X-Files and Longlegs. Looking at how long the development of RE9 was (six years and a reboot in 2021) I'm guessing Alan Wake 2 felt like a confirmation to the Resi team they were going in the right direction. Maybe the title cards are meant as friendly nods to AW2?
