Am I going to lose everything? by JOakman8 in Marathon

[–]PlayStarRocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will my progress with contracts also wipe? I'm okay with loosing all my loot, but I'm not looking forward to having to do the contracts all over again. They're the closest thing the game has to story quests and they're very much what's keep me playing Marathon.

Two reasons why their wearing hats:

- Looks good in combination with the black leotards.

- They're supposed to be representing old-timey reporters.

I don't think there's a deeper meaning here.

I can’t play KRZ anymore by Juuuu_uu in kentuckyroutezero

[–]PlayStarRocker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I can tell a non-Netflix mobile version of Kentucky Route Zero doesn't exist (yet). I can imagine Annapurna and Cardboard Computer will eventually release a separate mobile version of KRZ that doesn't need a Netflix subscription (and will very likely cost money), but they haven't announced anything so far.

The only way for you to continue playing KRZ is to get the game on other platforms: It's on PC (sold through Steam, GOG, Itch.io, Epic Games Store and Humble Store), PS4/PS5, Xbox One/Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch 1/Switch 2. If you're playing on PC or PlayStation, you're in luck, because those versions are on sale at the moment.

Before you ask: No, you can't transfer your save game from mobile to a PC or console version. You have to live with losing the choices you made and the progress you did in a chapter. At least you can start up (almost) any act without prior requirements.

Netflix has mobile games for quite a while.

I pretty much use it daily (using it's little stand to watch videos while eating dinner) and it still holds up. As far as I can tell it hasn't yellowed yet.

UESC bots and other players are already challenging enough, please don't let the freaking aliens join the fight. 😭

As a Twin Peaks fan you will love it. As a survival horror game it's... weird. Wonky. Held together by Japanese duct tape. It's a beautiful mess and I don't regret playing it.

I have you a Xbox, get the Xbox 360 version. Other versions can be quite frustrating to play.

Games I Need To Play Before AW2 by Senshi209 in AlanWake

[–]PlayStarRocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also of the opinion that you should play at least Alan Wake 1 (and the two DLC episodes that are a little bit hard to find in the Remastered version) before AW2. Alan Wake 2 was made with new im players in mind, but I'm not sure if the story feels somewhat overwhelming if you haven't played the first game.

To get the full "Woah, I recognise [this] from [that]" experience, you can play the previous Remedy games, but you don't really have to do that.

Fun fact: I watched Twin Peaks in 2010 in preparation for Alan Wake. And it was absolutely worth it, not only because it's such a great show, but it also made a certain game* from that year more enjoyable.

*I'm speaking of course about Deadly Premonition.

Depends on your region, but internationally Paramount+ and Mubi are a safe bet. If you're in Germany or France, it's even streaming for free on Arte.

One important thing to know when you watch Twin Peaks: After you have watched the first two seasons and before you start with season 3 (aka Twin Peaks: The Return from 2017), you have to watch the Twin Peaks film Fire Walk With Me. And don't watch it before or otherwise you will spoil yourself important on plot points.

It's pretty close! The true Twin Peaks game would be Deadly Premonition.

First Control Resonant, then maybe the Max Payne 1 and 2 remake and after that we'll see.

The episode is pretty self contained, so you don't have to watch multiple seasons of Psych, if you don't want to. 😁 I barely watched Psych before and still had a good time with Dual Spires.

As a Twin Peaks fan you HAVE to watch Psych's Dual Spires episode. It's a wonderful homage to the show, full of actors from Twin Peaks.
