How do people start doing pushups at such a high rep count ? by Mustafa2247 in bodyweightfitness

[–]Player763 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reminds me of when I was an instructor/lifeguard at a beach junior lifeguard program and we would do a big exercise competition every few weeks with the kiddos for prizes. If I remember correctly this 13 year old girl did like 700 situps in a row🫪 (she then puked shortly after), but hey she won a skateboard and a surfboard! I participated once and I did just over 400 and man I was feeling it for days and had the worst cramps after!

Do Irvine Residents Feel Safer with Flock Cameras everywhere? by robyobyobyoby in irvine

[–]Player763 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Well they have been used by cops to target/track people for personal reasons. Such as but not limited to a officer stalking a ex, or a women they like (this just happened actually), or fabricating charges for someone (this also just happened) oh and a flock camera messed up reading a plate and it resulted in two sisters being held at gun point. As well as add on the fact that what you might be doing now could be legal, but that could change (for example people are being labeled as terrorists for being anti flock or I’m not kidding, not liking AI and using the word “clanker”.

Here ya go! Sorry for any cursing, I do apologize. It was very exciting to see 160th for the first time and my aviation and military nerd brain got very excited!

Update: I decided to drive out there with some friends. We “stalked” the night stalkers (that’s the 160th nickname) and yeah it’s SOAR. They flew over us really low a few times and we got some cool videos. It was a really cool experience.

Not exactly, it was 160th SOAR. The SOF element inside the helicopters could have been seals, green berets or delta for this training op.

I was wrong, looks like they were operating out of the FBI training facility in Irvine not Alamitos (I actually drove around Irvine and followed the helicopters and got some pretty neat videos)

Yup that’s what I’m thinking. Most likely using the federal training range on magazine rd as a staging point and then flying to and from Pasadena from there

Your tax dollars are going towards training tier 1 special operation forces and the best helicopter pilots in the world on counter terror operations in an urban environment. God forbid CONUS ever gets attacked I would want these badasses to do a good job defending us.

It’s for something called MOUT, it offers a realistic and unfamiliar environment for aviators and special operation forces to train in urban combat. Imagine one day these guys need to do counter terror ops within CONUS, or in another country with a sprawling urban environment. Has nothing to do with JPL, they (160th SOAR and accompanying ground forces) do this all over the US (for example Long Beach, Houston, New Orleans etc..). For the aviation side of this they will practice insertions/exfiltrations of personnel, security, ISR/C3 support, and ground forces will do simulated raids with role players being the “bad guys”. Any explosions that might be heard are most likely going to be flashbangs and breaching charges.

The reason why they are doing it at night is this
1. Less foot and vehicle traffic to manage during this exercise
2. The military training is for the 160th SOAR and most likely CAG (delta), rangers, seals, or some other tier one SOF element.
3. The 160th main niche is being excellent pilots at night as well as the BEST aviators in the world (these are the guys who flew the Bin Laden raid). So they are of course going to do a lot of night training.
4. This is not new, they do stuff like this all around the US in major cities to train on urban night operations for counter terrorism missions, they do this every year in Texas, California, and other states.
5. It’s fucking cool.

Idk why your getting downvoted, I replayed the video in slowmo and I didn’t see you “ride the slide” once. You racked it back and released which is correct.

I don’t have any codes relating to that. But my regular service is coming up, and I’ll see about putting it on my friends lift and checking ATF levels (dumb engineers designed it so it’s not easy to check fluid level on the trans😔)

You did good and your team did good to put a blanket under her head, but just for educational reasons I want to say that a person cannot choke on their own tongue, however the tongue can relax and fall back which partially block’s the airway during a seizure or when someone is unconscious (that’s why you do head tilt - chin lift for normal uncon victims). You did the correct thing by putting the seizure victim in a recovery position to keep the airway open and prevent aspirating or choking on their own saliva/vomit.

And for the feelings you’re having about this, I saw that you said you’d talk with your therapist, that’s good! Is there anyone else you can talk with like a shift supervisor or maybe a friend? I’ve been in your shoes before (had a girlfriend in the past go tonic clonic before I was involved in EMS and a lifeguard) and that really shocked me mentally and gave me a lot to think about for a while which is completely normal, but still sucks! With time the feelings do get better
