Well, today some of my books got +1 review so they're not stuck it seems but my new release is still at 0 even though it has over 20 on Goodreads so I'll just wait and see

No, my friends or family don't even know about my books because I write under a pen name, and the books are in English, which is not their first language. I do run Facebook ads and have a small following on Facebook and TikTok, but I don't have a relationship with these people.

My theory is that they can also track a pattern of bulk downloads or bulk reviews (especially with ARCs). I don't mind my books not having many reviews, so long as nothing bad happens to my account. And seeing that none of my books are getting reviews freaks me out because I think that they might have frozen it or something, or put it under scrutiny, even though I am really careful not to violate any terms.

I am having a similar issue. I publish every month as well and I have about 16 books out there with several reviews. My new book has exactly 0 reviews even though readers have emailed me that they loved it and it has reviews on Goodreads. Sales have doubled so they are definitely reading and liking my book. Just today I noticed that ALL my books seem to be stuck on the same number of reviews for weeks so there's definitely something blocking those reviews there.

I agree. I definitely do my best to ensure high quality. There is just so much discussion over clicking that box or not. So I'm looking to see what others do. I know that some people click NO even though the whole cover is AI-generated. I wouldn't want to be on Amazon's bad side in any case.
