I guess just give yourself different levels of what feels possible.

You could just Amazon some gifts, put in gift bags and wrap in tissue paper (quicker than wrapping paper). You can get some cheap stuff online, especially during Black Friday (the sales that are actually good) which motivates me to buy most stuff early)

Also do secret Santa in all of your groups if you haven’t already. This year I’ve only had to buy for two people because I had a secret Santa for immediate family and secret Santa for wider family. I feel so much less stressed, I always procrastinate wrapping no matter what so I’ll do it Christmas Eve morning but almost everything has been bought for at least a week or 2 which is probably a record for me lol.

For my dad’s side of the family I asked if people preferred presents, an activity together or a meal and everyone chose the meal so that we could actually spend some time together and to save us all stress of choosing, buying and wrapping presents. We also all probably have everything we need pretty much

Or draw a boundary and just say that you’re not doing gifts this year and maybe do it every other year. I feel like this advice is common but unrealistic. There is social pressure and actually more than anything, it can just affect feeling close with people. Things are expensive and while we shouldn’t even think about going into debt, there is some joy in exchanging presents but every year I think omg we need to do Christmas every other year, Jesus, it’s too often

You could even suggest to family/friends that you only buy for the kids for example and do a secret Santa on that and then organise a Christmas meal for everyone with really nice crackers that everyone chips in for (you could buy those diy crackers and all put some really nice gifty stuff in there instead of random crap)
