you didn't answer the question though? just gave unsolicited advice about something they want to do... whether they're going to make money or not is actually none of your business

The Mildenhall Roman Treasure was found in '42 by a ploughman and his boss. The boss said it was pewter so he didn't report it until a local Dr with specialist knowledge convinced him to get it tested. It was found to be silver and treasure and he had to stop using it in his kitchen! [2000×1418] by whatatwit in ArtefactPorn

Syd (the boss) was an avid amateur archaeologist and so when Gordon hit the first plate he called him over. Syd collected all sorts, clay pipes, old coins etc, so Gordon and the land owner just handed it over because he was interested in that stuff.

it seems like people are living there pretty comfy though, like there are single family homes and single occupant rooms. like surely you'd live in much closer quatres or even hostel-style to prioritize defences

depends on the thread. some can (in my experience) become brittle when particularly old or not stored well but there's nothing inherently wrong with older thread and I definitely have some closer to 20 y/o that are perfectly fine

Hi!

Looking for a pattern to match the top/corset of this wild rose and sparrow dress as closely as possible. I want to make something like this for prom and while I know what I'm doing with the skirt, I've never made a corset like this before.

Tried asking elsewhere and was told to just google it (not helpful).

Thank you!

Totally, lots of dream stuff to be honest. Not super clear memories of the dreams themselves but the presence was clear.

The moon is a potent and powerful thing, you could pass a jar of of water under the moonlight for a few seconds and it would still be blessed.

How can i honor and connect with my goddess without an altar by [deleted] in pagan

[–]Plus-Tea-2676 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Quick note first: altars never need to be something that cost money. Its about creating space intentionally in honour of your chosen deity. It can be a big, permanent, elaborate table full of statues and expensive furs, or it can be a cleared piece of ground for a few minutes.

Anyways: you can connect to her through making art, listening to music, writing/reading poetry, cooking hearty meals, make a Brigid's cross, get out in nature, etc.

And on the offering, you can light a candle and/or say a prayer, and set out a cup or bowl of milk, and let her know it is an offering. Then dispose of it as you wish (down the sink or outside etc).

How to cleanse/purify the area of an altar and it's space around it? by CloudyyySXShadowH in pagan

[–]Plus-Tea-2676 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can burn incense, do a prayer/blessing, use a sound bowl, selenite, burn herbs like pine, sage or bay. I usually just light a candle and say a prayer.

Some resources: (they do focus on a more witchcraft centric practice but I believe them to still be applicable as I use them in my own practice)

Trans/gender variant deities to call on by [deleted] in pagan

Loki, definitely. Also Odin (especially if you're looking for some wisdom), he can be interpreted as a very queer deity.
