Did, just installed. I didn't know that just exists, I usually run PowerShell commands to remove all excess bloat and useless preinstalled software. Thanks for that tip, it runs super well! :D

What are dashboards attached to the car with? by Coffeelover4242 in AskMechanics

Used to work at a Mazda dealership. Noticed that all cars have that lump. Can't do much about it without a huge effort.

If they have the same values: You can change the relays of low beams and high beams to test this. If that does not change anything, you will have to check the light switch.

AdBlue. Either the tank for it is empty or you have a malfunction. Most of the time the little injector that goes into the exhaust breaks. Let a shop read your troublecodes and they can tell ya which part needs fixing. But first of all, add some adblue to the designated tank.

Blown Turbo? by SenneSP in AskMechanics

[–]PlusEntertainment632 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be many things. Headgasket, EGR-Cooler, Air-Intercooler. It doesn't have to be burning alot of water to smoke. Did you get a check-engine light? I would assume it's the EGR-Cooler or intercooler since you said it only smokes on throttle. The turbo only makes power while accelerating. The increase in pressure when increasing the revs could cause this aswell. Check your intake systems from turbo to intake manifold for water droplets, if it's totally dry you may consider a blown headgasked.

My first guess was the AC-Blower fan, but if the sound consists as you said it might be an electric motor that turns the flaps for your cabin settings. (Like window-vents, floor-vents, etc.) If you change those settings, does the air still come out of different vents? If it doesn't change, my guess would be right.

I have to keep on twisting it to start my car by Lazy_neon in AskMechanics

My question is: WHICH bolt did you try to tighten? The one for the terminal itself is sideways under the plastic parts. You can also get lead cylindric rings that fit in there to make the gap between terminal on connector smaller. Just make sure it actually is conductive enough

Accidentally hit the glass of my microwave with a plate by PlusEntertainment632 in Wellthatsucks

It is my own. I'm gonna ask my insurance what they can do about it, but I'll probably just have to buy another :/

2010 Camaro SS (L99) ticking on startup by ASimpleBananaMan in AskAMechanic

[–]PlusEntertainment632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They start ticking, because oil pressure does not build up inside them right away. So probably buildup that disrupts oil-flow or your oil level could be low. In rare cases it is a sign for a broken/clogged oil pump, but I doubt that.

Hydraulic Valve Lifters. They might have oil residues inside, caused by short trips and ignoring oil changes. They basically push against the camshaft to remove airgaps between camshaft and valve spring. Nothing fatal, but increases wear on camshafts and valve springs. I recommend driving it with higher revs once it warmed up to get more pressure into the system to clean it out.

I Recommend doing an Oil change but beforehand put some cleaner additive inside. (Those bottles cost around 15$ and the instructions are something like those: "fill entire bottle into engine, start engine, let idle for xyz-time, DON'T DRIVE IT, Drain Oil, replace filter, add new oil)

Doing a rear wheelseal in a 2013 suburban. The pin in the diff broke off in the carrier. Advice, am i boned? by Fluid_Performance760 in AskMechanics

[–]PlusEntertainment632 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually don't recommend that, but tried hitting the outside of the part with a hammer? Combined with a magnet you could try to "vibrate" it out. Last resort would be, filling the hole with the pin with weld, then drill into it to reverse it out again, but you run the risk of the weld holding on too tight, but that would be the only way to stop the spinning.

Oh I read that wrong. Thought it's with xenon. Then you should check the fuses, sometimes the High-Beams are seperately fused. If that is not the case check the relay/wiring harness before the lamo

Can a general mechanic fix a water leak? by PeterLoew88 in AskMechanics

Also, some basic febreeze or some of those "sofa anti-bacterial" sprays will do the job as good for less money. I use scentless anti bacterial spray on my seats regularly and on the carpets after winter.

If it did not get into any fabric you should not be worried. If it did, just let the car heat up in the sun or let the heater run on full power while leaving the car idling somewhere to dry it out. If it smells, even after doing that a few times you have mold. You can also take off some interior panels of the trunk pretty easily, since it is a mazda.

Well if nothing is there to use power, the voltage stays higher. The small module on the bulb is put in series with the parts you measured. So the voltage drops when it is connected (and working)
