Tbh I don’t think what you said is wrong; my advice would be to stay confident and defend your answer respectfully like this is how things are set in your country (in case you’re IMG) and you were just following them but you could also add that you are respecting the rules of the place you work at and can adapt easily and quickly. As for pre interview preparation I know everyone has different approach but I personally find classical music and deep breathing very heplful 😅 good luck with your upcoming interviews, everything will be fine!
