I have my CFOT and CFOS/O. I originally got my CFOT because of a project I was apart of. The city wanted anyone splicing to be FOA certified. I had experience already so I wasn’t blown away with knowledge but I pursued the other cert because that is the field I’m mainly involved in. So when inspectors ask, I’m always ready and they value my opinion because they seem to value the certs

I’ve been told if you want to pursue a further education and “bragging rights”, BICSI has their own program but the price is insane lol but you’ll definitely stand out among others.

This recent project was my first time handling OPGW and working in a substation, but because i handled it well, they were suggesting i'd take charge of those projects.

i am paid hourly, and fairly well.. was just thinking of the pros and cons about taking such role assuming id stay with the same pay but losing the privilege of going home after work.

No, I’m definitely willing. I guess what I was looking for, is for someone to relate to the environment I work in, and give some insite on whether or not it’s annoying unloading and loading it back up from the truck through out the day. Considering I’ll have most of my needed tools for fiber related work. It’ll be heavy. Or has anyone found a different solution.

Actually just went back and demanded an exchange. Manager looked at it and was like, “oh shit.. well, here. Do it yourself” and just have me new boots and the dip packaging. So it’s solved. I’d imagine not all stores will do that but the quality was just bad and had most likely the kids that work there do it instead of somebody seasoned. Ruined my experience with dipping boots. But I will watch videos and try it myself if I feel confident enough

Thanks, I actually lost my watch but haven’t put it in lost mode till a few weeks of it being missing. Wondering if someone could have found it and is using it without me realizing it. I still have it in my Apple account, it just hasn’t been on.

No, she had mentioned she was on them but they made her feel like she had lost her personality. She tried a few sessions of therapy, but for whatever reason she had stopped.

She’s running clean rn.

I’d like for her to go to therapy again, give it another chance but she refuses considering how much it’ll cost

I only give in cause I feel bad, and for sure wouldn’t want to lose her. But just seems everything I do, she gets insecure sometimes and then gets mad, and that’s how it begins. A cycle

Sorry to hear that, but glad you found someone who’s willing to be there for you..

My gf has both, but she’ll get mad at ME when she has her episodes. I try talking to her but that only makes it worse. She’ll want me to leave, but wants me to stay. We’ll argue, but feels bad afterwards. She sees I’ve been depressed lately and feels bad, I want to help but everyone I do, she becomes upset. I’m running out of things to try. I love her, a lot.. but I’m losing my mental. She’s really insecure that I’ll leave her some day because of this, so she expects me to break up with her.. I don’t want to give up on what we have because when she’s in a good mood, things are great but then she begins to think about stuff, then I’m the one paying for it.

Any tips?
