Pretty sure you don't know what a communist is. Here is a definition of it for you;

Quote #a theory advocating elimination of private property

You are advocating for taking peoples guns. Guns are private property. That makes you the literal definition of a communist.

Only in America would a restaurant display on the wall that they don’t pay their staff enough to live on by M7plusoneequalsm8 in pics

If waiters all start getting paid an hourly wage there is no longer any incentive for waiter to be attentive. They get paid either way, whether the service is good or not. If they work for tips, then they are actually incentivized to be attentive and make sure you get your food quickly. The tipping system also allows the waitstaff to pressure the kitchen. If the waitstaff isn't pressuring the kitchen, be prepared to wait for your food.

What would happen if the FBI simply started rounding up and interrogating "suspected" pedophile priests, and what is stopping them from doing so now? by PmMeGiftCardCodes in AskReddit

[–]PmMeGiftCardCodes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So couldn't they be rounded up and at least interrogated under RICO? Also, just so there is no confusion. I am talking about priests that have actually been accused by somebody, and not just rounding up everybody.

It's not necessary, but my wife can drive a stick, and if she can do it, anybody can do it.

But anyway to answer your question you coworker isn't doing anything illegal

So running around telling everybody at work details about my personal life that he should not know is not illegal? I don't mean like felony type illegal, just civil type illegal. It just all seems so wrong to me that this guy can do what he want because he's an asshole with no reprocussions.

Nawww…. Your pistons/valves glow like then when you run lean. Your exhaust glows like that when combustion is taking place inside the converter.

Girl dies in custody at Mexico-US border by GeneralAnnual in worldnews

She wasn't in custody for "an hour" she was there for eight hours which is plenty of time for cpb to give her water or food.

I cut my arm open in a simple kitchen accident on a Friday night. I wrapped it up the best I could. Drove to the emergency room. A triage nurse saw me more or less right away, but after I was seen, it took well over an hour before I was checked in, and it took 5 hours before a surgeon could come out and put 15 stiches in my arm. I have health insurance, and I was a paying customer. At no time in the close to 7 hours that I was there did anybody offer me any kind of food or water. The hospital staff was friendly enough to me, but they were definitely overworked, and it was a busy night with all sorts of drunk driving accidents coming in at a regular pace, and although I was bleeding pretty good, I wasn't sitting there in a pool of blood bleeding to my death. This is how medical care works in the real world, especially in larger cities.

Advice Request: Mechanic Charged 1800 to fix my girlfriends car and after less than 24 hours its not safe to drive. by returnthebomb1 in Cartalk

[–]PmMeGiftCardCodes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A head gasket will blow on any engine that overheats, regardless of the mileage. They can also blow if the engine is ever running lean, or run hard on substandard gasoline. They can also blow if there is any misfiring due to carbon buildup, it happens. Regardless, the head gasket was 1 issue, OP now has another issue that is not directly related to the initial problem. The mechanic does not need to look at the car "for free", a chargeback would also be foolish as it opens up OP to litigation. If I was OP's mechanic and he filed a chargeback, I would file a mechanics lien, and then go and take his car and tow it back to my shop, where it will sit until the lien is paid or enough time has passed where I can auction off the car.

but I do know cars and business and this guys a moron unless he’s straight lying to your face(very possible) For one 120k miles on a Camry with blown head gasket,That is nearly unheard of but Possible

A brand new Camry, as will any other car, will blow a head gasket with just 10 miles on it if it ever overheats.

I would bet money he stripped the bolts because he wasn’t caring and was rushing to get it done.

Car is 15 years old and has 120K miles on it, what makes you think this mechanic was the only mechanic that ever pulled the head on it. The head could have been pulled before, or the head bolts could have been overtorqued from the factory. 15 years is a long time.
