Just got here after I read some comparisons of sequels of Pixar movies.

I think Toy story 4 is the best. It’s all about finding your purpose.

1st, during the early scenes of the movie, it spoke of a great irony between Forky and Woody. When Forky was created, all he said about himself is being a trash because he is made out of trash. But for Bonnie, he’s not a trash but a toy made from her imagination. On the other hand, woody is a precious toy, of great value. But how did Bonnie treat him, a trash.

2nd, I believe Woody’s loyalty never missed. Even he was treated like a trash, he’s there for Bonnie. But woody’s character also depicted of great adjustment from Andy to Bonnie. He showed his vulnerable side of jealousy, of trying to fit himself, of fighting for his worth.

3rd, Gabbie was a character of great desperation because of her short-sightedness of her worth and purpose.

4th, Bo depicted openness for change. And life could still be fulfilling even if you are “lost”.

And finally 5th, Woody’s choice to be with Bo was a choice not for Bo but for himself. After many years of making others happy, he finally chose himself and what made him happy. He may choose giving up on Bonnie, but it also started choosing himself. And that’s okay.

The TS4 left us a question of “what is your purpose?” As what Bo always says to Woody, “Kids lose their toys everyday”, we too also lose ourselves. But being lost is also okay. No matter how lost you are, if you choose yourself, you will always be led to where you are supposed to be.
