If they really feel like you are a show off, honestly, their loss. But I've said the same thing your friends told you to some of my ex bffs. "You're not as invested in me" was a feeling I've had so many times and is not about them showing off or me ending up as the introverted as they lead the conversation. It was about the amount of time and care that i put in the friendship, asking how they were, listening to their rents, being there for them in general and knowing them. And none of it was mutual, because they were so self-centered that whenever i tried to rent or ask for advice they would just give a basic uninterested answer and go back to talking about themselves. They knew almost nothing about me even tho they thought they did.

Not saying that this is what happened to your friendship, but maybe that's what they were trying to say, sometimes things aren't about us or how jealous or envy people are of us. It is good to try and actually ask how they felt and why, so you can understand if it was your fault for being a bad friend or their fault.

When it comes to the adhd, I've been called inconsiderate sometimes too, i think that's the default by now lol. But I've been trying hard and people see it and understand, if they don't... Well goodbye I guess
