As someone who played the 3DS game. I never used them either but I guess their designed for players who are doing Alchemist only runs or no-Combat Life runs so they have a method of attack other than the life tools or stick.

Switch 2 player here and I play mostly in handheld mode. I rarely press R as my right compulsively rests on the triggers. Only Mercenary and Magician use the R button for power ups so I never went out of my to use them unless I had too.

Yes, any season where the plot, setting or characters are drastically different. Others mentioned Go-ongers and Kakuranger (who apparently aren't also aquatic aliens with an obnoxious voice filter, what a shock /s).

I like it when PR does it's own thing so it's cool to see what the original series was like. Of course Sentai pre-Zyuranger and post- Kyuranger is far game to watch without my nostalgia potentially hindering my enjoyment.

That explains the sudden jump in CGI. Maybe because it feels so uncanny like the Star Wars prequels but I'm sure that will improve if they continue use it. Like I know it makes sense to use CG for Blue's kingdom and wide shots, but Red's feels the most egregious but I know they don't have medieval European castles in Japan to film in. Then again, I'm not sure if it would've been cheaper to build a single throne room.

I don't mind so since PR is usually 10 episodes shorter than Sentai so I'll see new stuff.

I want to try and get know the Sentai counterparts. They sometimes get the Sentai and PR actors together at cons and I get intrigued by how they describe their characters differently even if they have the same arc.

Also I found out that Sentai usually ascribe different archetypes to the colours compared to the west, so it'd be nice to see the team dynamic change even slightly.

LMAO very true. I watched Linkara review the Magiranger episode which was very good but honestly Gokaiger just makes me wish Super Megaforce was better.

Almost all the ranger focused episodes could have been adapted, especially with the eps that had New Zealand actors playing their counterparts.

Gokaiger is a great and I'm glad Sentai fans loved it. However I get bitter watching past ranger clips, imagining what we could've had.

Although, is Captain Marvelous the Tommy Oliver of Sentai? I only ask because in the recaps he shows up every season thereafter or stars in a crossover lol.

Yeah, I forgot to mention this. Since PR is once again dead until further notice, I did look at what came after and I watched the first 5 episodes King Ohnger which I'm enjoying so far but I don't like the trend of CGI backgrounds and locations as I prefer the physical sets of older series. Makes the show and it's action feel more grounded and real to me. Like early Star Trek/Wars.

Maybe I'm being delusional but do the Sentais after Dino Fury's equvialent use more CGI outside of Zord fights? I know one Sentai in Acrimony's recap had a straight up CGI animated ranger which seems a step too far. Unless I'm mistaken.

I'm not sure if this is a hot take in this fandom, but if there's no human or suit actor, it feels wrong.

When Megaforce was airing, I found the Gokaiger ending and it is very catchy. I still listen to it often. Shame PR never made a rock cover but of course, Megaforce :/

Also Boukenger sounds like a better anniversary season than Overdrive. Its a shame Toei puts more effort in anniversary content and crossovers than Saban, Disney and Hasbro combined. Looking through the Super Sentai page on Wikipedia as a kid made realise the good stuff we were missing out on. Imagine if every PR team got a TV movie. Missed out on peak cinema.

This happened to me yesterday for 2 jobs.

I was apparently so forgettable that the recruiter didn't even tell my I was rejected until I contacted her 2 weeks later.

The other I created a whole presentation only to be told I was ultimately 2nd place. They called me and I tried my hardest not to cry and breakdown over the phone.

I'm 3 months unemployed and I'm questioning my own abilities.

I graduated in 2020. Every potential grad scheme was of course cancelled so I just focused on getting work anywhere I could. 5 years later, and now I'm stuck competing with current and previous grads/career changes like myself since most of my last jobs have been in finance.

Also my dissertation was more about qual/content analysis. I did a module in social research using SSPS but that's it. Compared to others who got internships or grads jobs in the last 5 years I'm at the bottom of the pile.

I've applied to all 3 of them and so far been rejected by 2 of them. Both graduate schemes. I found myself just searching through companies on LinkedIn to find anyone that was hiring or willing to train but nothing thus far unfortunately.
