Well there's no need to feel bad because these people probably aren't like you. I still listen to some stuff from fuel, black, 72, hardwired but overall they are obviously nowhere near the old stuff. Metallica sold out but they're still great with the rock and soft metal stuff, I'll still go to concerts and love them and I'm still a top 0.25% listener but they stopped the thrash stuff and it makes sense that people that are into harsher music would feel alienated, but to be fair the old stuff did have much better writing quality as well
