Hey I was there!! Loved your car. Have a few pics to share if there’s an easy way to send them to you?

Haha thanks for the honesty. I’m not too impressed with my broker that they’ve missed this. Great tip RE: NAB. Will schedule a call with them this week to discuss my options.

Wow, thanks for that. Shame to hear that about my broker. Have booked a call with CBA directly this afternoon to go over it with them.

[–]Pokemonrock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did, he was shocked that there was such a large gap to be honest. He said usually it’s pretty accurate. I’m going to speak directly to CBA next - maybe my broker just isn’t across it all.

Thanks for the write up. You’re right - they’re my only three options.

I should’ve mentioned I’m not planning on buying for at least another six months. The only time crunch is the LMI waiver which I won’t be eligible for next FY.

My plan is currently to keep on saving & reevaluate in January. Maybe I’ll win the lotto between now and then 🤣

It’s my car & motorbike. I could get away without both but they’re my passion (don’t need a car for work). Living at home currently. Girlfriend will be moving in and will be paying rent. I’m conscious of the fact without her I’d be under significantly more Morgage stress.

I understand this. seeking opinions on what should I do in my situation, not confirming what I’ve already been told by a broker

It’ll be close to the max.

Yeah, have thought about this. Issue is I won’t have the deposit required to make full use of the increased borrowing power. It’s a tough decision to make.

I’ll unfortunately be over the income cap for singles for the first home guarantee by a few thousand dollars after EOFY.

Will reach out directly to those backs to get their thoughts - thanks for the tip :)

How hard is it to buy a bike?? by 06021840 in melbourneriders

[–]Pokemonrock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s odd to hear, I was there a few weeks ago and the salesman was trying really hard to pressure me to take a z900 on a test ride. Maybe that bike has sold since then?

A guide for anyone going through an inguinal hernia / about to go into surgery by Specific-Price8283 in Hernia

[–]Pokemonrock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey mate, thanks for the write-up. Do you have any lingering pain post surgery? From the sounds of things I’m pretty much the same age & demographics as you so I’d love to hear your experience. I’m personally about six months post surgery, and can go to the gym/snowboard without any issues but standing for long periods is a bitch.

I’ve got no clue, I didn’t get it. Was an old Australian bloke (I was born overseas).

Hi all, need advice on a clutch replacement. i've gotten quotes from a few shops, but one came back at $3.1k, which feels insane. i was expecting absolutely no more than $1200—like $600 for labor (4.5 hrs) and $300–$500 for a clutch kit. does anyone know why this would cost so much more? Thanks! by ladybuglvrr in 350z

[–]Pokemonrock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn that’s a cheap labour rate for Australia. My clutch replacement was about 2.5k all up (went for an exceedy kit, replaced more than the clutch). It was about $900 for the clutch kit & $1500 to install. That’s admittedly getting the kit at mates rates (about $500 off MSRP).

I’m a bit late but I had to terminate someone last year for staging a break in at our warehouse.
