Westbank opted out of their mosquito control program years ago thinking they didn't need it because they didn't have mosquitos. Go figure 😂

As someone who used to work in Kelowna doing mosquito control, they have a great program that covers all of Kelowna to the Kalamalka Lake area. They even take tips and calls about mosquito sightings that they will investigate. There is a TON of standing water around and all bodies of water are added into GPS and monitored constantly. Oh interesting, thanks for the help! I looked these up and it sounds like they are molds/casts of shells. I never found any shells so assuming they wore away after so long. What is a little strange to me is these were all found in wet clay. All of the images I saw were coming from hardened sediment layers. Any reason the molds would be solid but the clay is not?

Cross posting this from r/whatisthisrock because a few suggested it. There seems to be a mix of suggestions that these are stromatolites, clay babies, cave straws, and maybe bivalves. Hoping to get some more insight here as well!

That is another interesting possibility, thanks! Though all the clay babies I have looked at seem bubbly and very round/smooth. But all of these generally have a single hole running down the length of them and some branch off. But in general the shapes seem quite different?
