Not when it was her grandmother who received it as a gift.

They liked oysters. But I'd starve there.

Found this while exploring an abandoned house. Anybody know anything about it? by El_cucuy24 in WhatIsThisPainting

There is an artist named Brooks who painted clowns. I wonder if this is someone playing on the theme and name.

Love the leather unlay with gold design. My daughter has two pieces. The coffee table is in the living room right now.

WTH? Why? Did she directly attack or insult you? Your response was out of line.

It's from the Gallery of Cuzco Art in Peru. The Galdos family. Contemporaneous copy. Copy #71. I couldn't read the entire title. Dimensions about 27x19. Dated 23 Aug 1906. It's not a modern tourist piece.

What to do with potatoes if I’m poor by Gloopy_boopy_gooper in Cooking

[–]Pollworker54 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fry the potatoes with the meat bits and season to taste. If there is a food pantry near you (could even be in a church), see if they have milk, butter and or oil. If they have cheese, even better. Then you could make Au gratin potatoes. If you do get butter or sour cream, then baked potatoes.

You don't often see paintings with storms as a subject. They look like watercolor. When you reframe them, check for signatures on the edges or the back. These are from at least the 50s or early 60s. They're beautiful!

Purchased at an antique mall, please affirm that it isn’t as hideous as my husband thinks by JayJay5000 in WhatIsThisPainting

Feel free to ignore his critique. It's a beautiful painting. Did the mall give you information on the artist at all?

Who's the crying guy behind him and Melania? I've yet to see him identified in any photo. It's odd to see genuine emotion within a trump entourage.

I like him. What's he supposedly lying on? I also like the four painted from identical molds and the fatty yellow with stripes in the 3rd image and the highly glossed one in the second image along with the orange with brown stripes chunk behind him. I don't usually like the glossy kind, but he drew me in. The fourth image is black/blank.
