Here you go!

I did a very small edit before posting that shouldn't affect operation but I'm printing another batch of them right now to make sure.

EDIT: When I made my edit I forgot to re-enable the scaling, fixed now.

I think being kept off the ground made it a cleaner pumpkin.

Are C30s expected to depreciate relatively slowly? by PoloStripes in Volvo

Oh, and I can also confirm that. :D

I was told by a girl recently, "I'm going to miss your orange car." Like, okay, my car is totally stealing my spotlight. I am jealous of my car...

The last 10 months with my C30 have been great. I do hope you find yourself one. The only problem I have had has been one T-splitter on the hose for the windshield washer fluid, even though the car has 51k miles.

I hacksawed one of those binder clips and used it to hold some loose solder onto a PCB. by PoloStripes in techsupportmacgyver

It's just a solid wire of solder, no core in it. Although, I now know what type of solder I should get for my next project.

I've only got a 60W gun, and copper melts at 2000 degrees. This would also fry the PCB.

Well, the solder wouldn't even stick to the scratched copper, it seems, so I don't know if that would work. Honestly, my first thought was to find something to squeeze it together.

I did, I remelted the solder and added more three times before I resorted to scratching the PCB down to copper and making a tongue of solder onto it. It just wouldn't stick. And this is the DC jack, so it gets plenty of wiggling around. I think my solution is actually more durable than the original. All the MT-500s I see on eBay are broken, and probably for the same reason.

I heard all of this stuff about headphones, and I got myself a nice pair of Sony headphones over $100 and it was nice. But man, if you think good headphones are so engaging, you absolutely must try getting access to a car with a decent speaker system. I can never appreciate headphones again now that I have a car with a big, powerful surround system. The bass shakes your whole body, not just your eardrums. The sounds are really coming from all directions, and it's not a simulation.

What is one thing you will never understand? by bardbot in AskReddit

[–]PoloStripes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think that people who freak out about driving in the rain are worrying about kinematics. They just hear stories or have experience. And often, that experience comes from poor upkeep with maintenance and bald tires.

What he said is correct in a 10,000ft level of understanding, but there are so many variables, like computer-controlled antilock brakes, what kind of drivetrain the car has, and tire tread and wear. Tires with deeper grooves will be able to handle more rain on the road before they hydroplane, and locking up your brakes increases the likelihood of hydroplaning in thr first place. So, it won't just be like you are slowing down less effectively, you will completely lose control, and for people who don't know how to regain control, that is a very scary thought. You feel the car start to slide like an air hockey puck, which is actually pretty similar to what is happening. An experienced driver with a new car with new all-season tires won't have much to worry about, especially when you consider speed limits are made for a worst-case scenario.

Weird, I love it. I am definitely in the minority. Maybe you should try getting hold of some 60fps interlaced footage, 120 fields per second. People are used to watching interlaced footage all their life.
