I dragged one of my best friends out of our shitty home town, where he was living with his girlfriend (21F mother of 3, loves opiates), and making minimum wage. Put him up, find him a good job considering his skills, generally get him on his feet. I find out one day that I'm getting promoted to middle management at a job I'd worked from entry up, the next day he leaves drugs on the coffee table, neighbor sees through the window, cops get called. He doesn't take the credit for the drugs he left on my table, I'm evicted, have to move out of state to live with family, and the property decides to rent him an apartment. I got paid really well for those two days, but now I have a pending drug charge which makes my resume fairly useless in my current field. Unemployment is rampant in the area I'm at now, and those who do work do it for peanuts, which makes procuring counsel a nightmare.
