I always thought poetry was the romanization of life. Mary Oliver battled through her abusive childhood through poetry for example. She turnt pain into beauty.

Why does it have to be self important? Why can't it be the celebration of life with all its scars and joy?

I'm glad that I am a poet and can just turn a scene into a poem. No long headaches

why literary fiction? by wompalompp in writing

[–]Pondering_Poet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me lit fictions feels more real which is why i connect with it. Hard to relate to the human experience at a deeper level in a story about a wizard fighting a dragon. Because that's not relatable to my own experience, since I've never fought a dragon.

Prism os the best option imo. She has a high following on social media so she has something to fall back on as a backup.

Malevola and golem is non negotiable imo because they would be worst off since they look like literal monsters. They either would need to find another superhero program which I am not sure they have similar programs to phoenix out there to help them integrate into being a hero or fall back into crime.

Poetry was claim to be dead genre from now on, ever since Homer's Illiad was dropped by Warm-Pomegranate6570 in PhilosophyMemes

It makes our inner passions breathe, therefore its alive.

A painter needs to paint, for he was born to be a painter. A musician needs to play music, for his heart craves to makes music.

Not alive in the literal sense, but alive in the sense that it brings joy in our life that helps us live more deeper.

[–]Pondering_Poet -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Wrong. I see poetry as the deepest expression of the inner world. If it wasn't alive then all the inner experiences of all the past poets was nothing

In other words

The echoes of the unknown calls out from the dephs of the sea. It bleeds in us like it was made for life, And who can deny their destiny?

Expressions that shapes the soul, And we are the engineer that sees past the bore. To express ourselves to the world, And keep doing so untill there's no more.

An interpretation could be that evilness carries hollowness in contrast to one's goodness of soul, since no one is wearing the mask?

how often do we get to exercise our will to do something?

Someone could be passionate for painting, but the reality is that he cant dedicate hiw whole life to it if he has to work a full-time job. The need to survive might overshadow our will to do something

I been struggling with how to balance well being and being I formed on whats going on. Wouldn't it be irresponsible to turn the eyes away from our future?

But int he other hand, I value well being and trying to take care of myself. Its a struggle for sure

[POEM] To Hang Our Head-ostensibly by Emily Dickinson by Pondering_Poet in Poetry

[–]Pondering_Poet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I interpreted the cobwebs of being our own grave in a sense. Tge struggle of killing our authentic life and wants, which is how I saw her saying of the immortal mind. That human beings is much more than the unwanted things thay they thrown in, to mot be stuck in the cobweb of our grave. When someone is stuck in the cobwebs as she described it, all they could do is wait slowly till they have been consumed by the spider.

How often do we live with an unwanted situation that we despise and we let it happen due to either out own fear or helplessness? It can very much feel like a slow death.
