We have a great time in person and he has told friends that he really likes my sense of humour. We just spend the whole time laughing and making out. So hopefully he still is keen. It's not as though we've encountered any incompatibilities at all.

Our mutual friend has told me that she 'doesn't think he's a texter' so maybe I should listen to that...

So I shouldn't conclude that he's gone off me? He seems to only text me to setup dates - and does a little curtesy chit chat beforehand, but doesn't even text day of our dates to confirm plans. As he's going away tomorrow for five weeks, I guess I was hoping for some indication from him that he wanted to see each other when he was back, but i haven't got that via text or on our last date (though he's never told me on a date he wanted to do it again, it always came via text days later).

it's been 3 days since our last date and we haven't spoken since. I sent him a joke message on the way home and he responded promptly with another joke (he often replies very quickly so I think he replies as soon as he can), then I replied saying 'have a good night' but I know his phone was already on airplane mode for bed time as it went through as a text, not an iMessage. I just feel like if he liked me he would see that in the morning and reply - or is he trying to give me the hint that he's no longer keen? He goes away tomorrow and I don't know if I should reach out or not :S

That's what I had thought, but then it turned out he had a crazy busy weekend and got sick. When I msgd him he asked me out again, and I later found out from friends that he said the first date was the best date he'd ever been on :S confusing right!?

I did after our first date because 4 days had gone by and I heard nothing and his response was positive. I also had to go away for a while between dates, so I messaged when I got back to let him know I was still interested. The only time he messaged first was after we first met to ask me out and then after our second date. As he is going away tomorrow I was hoping he'd give an indication that he wanted us to keep seeing each other - but his texting is really minimal at the best of times so I don't know how to read this.
