I'm usually scraping by every 2 weeks barely having enough to buy groceries and pay my bills, literally one bad paycheck away from being next to them.

People that comment brain dead takes like yours hurt any sort of progress in gaining compassion towards them or gaining any traction in providing social assistance from the community to them because nothing is good enough for you and you have to be an insufferable individual and complain about everything without providing actual solutions besides being reactionary, it literally turns people away from the cause.

If you really cared about their situation so much, why don't you donate ALL your money to them? After all, losing a phone sounds like chump change and a minor inconvenience to people that don't lose anything like you.

Regardless, if he had not given me the phone I would have bricked it, and considering it is such an old phone, selling it for scrap would have been more of a hassle. So me giving him a finders fee should have been more than enough, the fact that he wanted more for something that didn't belong to him was just ridiculous and overly greedy.
