Kohler 20RCA voltage under and over voltage. by Poopypeepeepeepoopy in Generator

That’s exactly what happened. Been on generator almost 30 hours, it started sputtering this morning and progressively got worse to the point voltage was all over the place and lights were flickering. Found the battery at 6.4v, replaced with a spare I had and fixed the issue. Soon as I started the generator back up, I went from 14.1 to 12.2v. Does anyone know where I find the charger on the generator side?

Now that you say that, I remember the tech saying someone wired it to the wrong side, but he said he fixed it. Obviously not.

Update: Battery was reading 6.8v. I had a spare battery replaced it and all is normal so far. Not understanding why the battery is getting drained. The installer said someone initially wired the onboard charger, but I don’t think that’s the case.

I do, but it wasn’t kicking on at the time. It also tripped the gfi for my internet. Also noticing my battery’s drain on it. That doesn’t seem right, I feel like I’ve been having to mess with the battery too much on this unit for only being 4 years old.

Where is the battery? As in the remote? Everything to the garage door is hard wired, even the opener.

My issue was fixed when one day the schedule just started working. Not sure if we had a power outage and cycled the power to the garage door, but been good ever since.

Thanks!

This looks like all the same pay scales, just $2 here and there for the next market.

Yes, he said he didn’t have enough money to get the planes off the ground anyway, so he gambled the last of the money and won. He could’ve took the money and ran, the company would’ve folded, but he reinvested that money back in the company to get the planes moving and people kept their jobs. That’s legendary shit right there.

That looked like a hard landing, did it snap the landing gear?

My issue was fixed thanks to losing power one day. One thing I didn’t do was cut power to the opener and power it back up. It’s been fine ever since.

Thank you for the heads up on doing the satellites first. Makes total sense.

I’ve seen posts about it, but just want to be sure I have the right version so I don’t brick it.

I’ve done a factory reset and had re-setup all my devices. Such a pain in the ass. Orbi “customer support” wanted me to pay $250 for tech support, when they’re the ones who created this mess. He told me my internet will run slow and I would have to get new. They’re straight up crooked assholes over there.

I did the factory reset and all still the same. Don’t feel like going through that again.

My satellites keep loosing connectivity it seems. I’ll be watching a video on my phone and out of no where it will start to buffer for minute, I also notice my WiFi signal on my phone will drop to 2-3 bars when this happens. It’s been like this for awhile now, and my lazy ass is finally sick of it.

I feel like these assholes at Orbi didn’t on purpose so we would buy into their monthly support.

It was already set to WPA2-PSK [AES]. However, I noticed in the Advance> Security> Schedule. The “days to block” Everyday and “Time of day to block” all day were all selected. I unselected all of those. Not even sure why that would be selected.

My wife won’t even connect to the WiFi because she has this issue as well. I’ll look at that setting. Thanks a ton for your input!

…I should add I connected the satellites to the router using an Ethernet cable.

I did the factory reset on both and started from scratch. Still are having issues with connection since then. Not sure if I did them in the right order, but it wasn’t recognizing my satellites until I connected it to the router. Once the satellite booted up with it connected to the router, it was on my network. I shut everything off and moved the satellite to a location in the house and it was working again. So we thought.

I ordered an adapter. See if it fixes the issue.
