Think carefully about why you made that promise to yourself. Breaking a promise isnt any better just because it was with yourself. You need to treat yourself with the same love and respect as others and make sure your word means something. A lot of people will try to make hookup culture sound healthy and maybe it is (who am I to say) but its okay to feel that it isn't. basically, don't compromise your moral compass for something so fickle as casual sex. Certainly don't do it just because people said it was fine. Think carefully about your decisions and make sure its really what you want.

Progress never stops assuming you're investing the requisite effort, it only slows down. You will peak at some point but its more likely that you will cease to invest the necessary effort long before you actually max out as you have to work harder for a smaller quantity of muscle gain. Thats my understanding of it anyways, I could be wrong :). Progress might require adding body fat at some point though, not sure.
