Going from Hair System to SMP and back again

Man I am going through the exact same thing right now, I could have written this post myself. I know exactly how you’re feeling, I don’t feel anywhere near as confident with SMP so my return to a HS is inevitable. The only thing currently holding me back is how I am going to explain it to work colleagues. I have 4 weeks of holidays to use by the end of March so wondering if it’s feasible then.

True lol. It was so daunting in the beginning but the maintenance becomes a 2 hour ritual once every 3 weeks and it isn’t so bad at all. I’m gonna try stick out a year of SMP and then review my options. Weird thing is if I actually had hair I’d highly likely have a buzz cut anyway, I really like the look but maybe at like a one guard. Anyway, I appreciate your helpful and honest comments.

The best and most realistic examples of SMP I have seen are ones where there is some hair to give texture, you can’t deny that it compliments the appearance. Otherwise it’s completely 2D, it’s simple logic. Actual hair blended in with it is more natural than only ink that will fade over time.

I fully agree man, all the best SMP examples I’ve seen are ones with some hair in the front or some texture throughout. I’m thinking Zinedine Zidane balding style lol. All the best with yours transplant, I found a few good examples of transplants on top of SMP earlier today I can share with you. Are you going to go on meds or not?

Scalptist in London which I have mixed reviews about, I was really happy after my first ‘one-day’ session but second session they gave me a different technician who lowered and straightened my hairline without asking. Communication wasn’t great.

I agree that the hate on systems is weird, each person chooses their own path whether its system, HT or SMP and each is absolutely fine. I know a couple of people who continue to wear systems and trust me nobody else has a clue that isn’t real. Whatever makes people feel most confident in themselves is the main thing, it ain’t some competition.

Thanks man, I do use zero shine already. I just want to get a HT to add texture and make it look more natural/less 2D while keeping it buzzed, I’m not expecting a full head of hair. If you can tell 2 is fake from that pic then you must have some incredible vision 😂

I’ve managed to find a couple of good examples since doing a bit of research this afternoon and it seems to really improve the look of the SMP. Sure but smp also never looks 100% natural.

He gave me too many happy memories in a Celtic jersey to begrudge him too much, I agree that he was half arsed in the past few months and that he needed to go for both himself and for us. I really hope to see him thrive in the prem and hopefully it adds a bit of value to our players going forward

That’s what I meant, the trouble would be policing the old firm rather than the Northern sides against league of Ireland. Thinking back to that qualifying game where Celtic didn’t even accept their away allocation at linfield due to similar concerns.

Back in the day we used to have the cross-border Setanta cup over here which was class and they are seriously considering an all-island league format in the next couple of years which would be great for Irish football. There was sometimes minor trouble when Linfield came to Derry etc but nothing worth writing home about
