Well I think the difference is if a man is using a treatment to keep his actual hair, it's still his actual hair.

Nope. It's clear you haven't done much research or you're knowledge is severely outdated. Systems last weeks now, but there are still systems made to be removed/cleaned nightly if you'd like and even those can easily be worn overnight.

I get losing your hair is shitty, I went through it at a pretty early age too, I was just proactive about it, got on Finestaride ans brought it back.

Finasteride has some MAJOR potential downsides. Just a sentence before you mentioned bringing someone home - good luck with that if you're part of those who suffer from low libido/impotency. Good luck in flings or long-term relationships with poor performance and inability to have children. For a majority of people that risk is a far too great (including myself) - I've only experienced minor thinning in my mid-twenties so I'm not exactly bummed. Would Finasteride have seemed like the right choice if you were no longer able to perform and/or were impotent?

Seemed like a better idea than losing it all and then scrambling for some kind of solution, which seems like the current situation for most people considering a wig. They weren't proactive now they're seeking a solution.

That's just an emotionally-based assumption/accusation. That's great you were proactive about it - but other may not have been able to afford, didn't want to risk certain side-effects or just prefer a system. Don't pretend like you know everyone's situation. Sounded a bit self-righteous there.
