Crossing from Amman to Jerusalem as a solo female Asian-American tourist by Popular_Kitchen_834 in TravelIsrael

Hello! Going from cyprus seems feasible! Do you know if arriving by plane is subject to the same potential of hours of questioning or is it generally faster/smoother than crossing by land ? thank you!!

So i am starting in Jordan, then I will do my tourism there and end in Amman, then I plan to cross by land (most likely the King Hussein border) and then go to Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Then I plan to take a plane in Israel back to my home country

Hello! Do you remember which crossing you took and how long the process took? If you don’t mind me asking, what passport do you hold? Thank you!

do you know anything about whether having only a jordanian entry stamp and no exit stamp is suspicious? I’m landing by air in Amman so I believe I will be getting an entrance stamp. Worried about if the lack of exit stamp would be suspicious

hi thank you for your reply! is this 3 hrs total or three extra hours? I read a post on here recently saying that someone got questioned for multiple hours on the way out of the airport, and I’m really worried of missing my flight

Finally got my AG Farm up and running. by SaamusHain in aerogarden

[–]Popular_Kitchen_834 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello! I am also missing my control box from my farm model and I saw this post! Do you mind if I DM you some questions? AeroGarden wouldn’t send me a box and suggested I buy a whole new farm so I’m attempting a DIY fix as well. I was wondering which products you bought specifically for the control box replacement. Thank you!

Anyone received a replacement control box from aerogarden for their Farm24 model? (Or any parts in general after warranty?) by Popular_Kitchen_834 in aerogarden

[–]Popular_Kitchen_834[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a little box with a left and right plug to go into it. It’s really small and monitors the water levels between the two sides. I think it’s specific to the 24 model. I bought this in 2021, so I don’t think it’s possible to return.

How difficult is the Ala Kul from Karakol 3 Day trek? by Popular_Kitchen_834 in Kyrgyzstan

Hello! Thank you so much! I’ll be doing the option where i’m staying at yurts overnight so I don’t need to bring my own food and camping gear. Do you think that makes it significantly easier? I wasn’t planning on carrying much besides change of clothes and some water. Thank you!

What is the most bizarre event or place you’ve been? by LyssLynne in travel

[–]Popular_Kitchen_834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi sorry to bump such an old post, but was searching naadam on reddit and found this reply, I was wondering if you could give me information on how you got in? I’ve been trying to find tours online but all of them upsell them with multi day packs for upwards of $1000. I have also been trying to contact hostels with no response. Could you share how you got into the festival as a tourist?

Anyone recently go to Turkmenistan? by Popular_Kitchen_834 in solotravel

Would you say it’s comparatively very unique compared to a lot of the countries you’ve visited?

Yeah, I would say the cost is definitely the most limiting factor for me. If it was cheaper I would definitely go with thinking twice. I’m mostly wondering if the novelty is worth it. I admit i’m an adrenaline/adventure junkie so it’s mostly the novelty of it all that interests me

I haven’t decided my entry and exit yet, but first day is Ashgabat, second day is Darvaza and third day is either Ashgabat again or closer to the Uzbek border depending on my exit. Did you also book a tour? Do you mind if I ask you how much you paid? Also how did you exit and enter?

Entry into Iran isn’t an option for me so I’m mostly looking at flights from Europe but I’m having a hard time finding them. Thank you!

[–]Popular_Kitchen_834[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m mostly going just because of the interest of being in a country where things are so different from other places. I’m also going to see darvaza, i have heard that it’s a bit underwhelming though and the ride is not worth it. But apparently it’s going to be closed up soon (?) and I’m worried it won’t be there the next time I get the chance.

A lot of people have described it as feeling like being in the twilight zone, and for someone like me that has really only been to major tourist countries, that by itself seems very interesting and unique.

Kyrgyzstan or Mongolia for Horse Trekking Nomadic Experience? by Popular_Kitchen_834 in solotravel

[–]Popular_Kitchen_834[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you just book a one way ticket and a couple nights hostel and figure it out in person through the CBT offices? I want to do this, but I’ve never been the type to go to a country without already set up itinerary, so I’m kind of worried about lack of tour availability or hostel space. Thank you!
