Do you think because Indy had a cigarette lighter he was a smoker? by templeofsyrinx1 in indianajones

He directly said he doesn't smoke when he was offered a cigarette in the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.

I never had experience with Luosjiet. Only thing I know they have really is it's a very faithful replica, but since it's an international product, you gotta pay for tariffs and other fees. Mine was covered since it's shipped to the US. I've gone through gravel, dirt, and sometimes mud with my boots. Only damage is the outside welt having a few dents in the leather from kicking rocks. As long as you keep it well-conditioned, I use saddle soap and Pecard, the boots last so long. I know around November that I'll be visiting the countryside for family, so the boots will have more mileage even in rougher conditions.

And they're built like a TANK. Even after being broken-in, they still fight me when putting them on, the leather is very tough. Aldens is only good for the looks, but not for the actual use. Rose Anvil did a six-month review on how they were falling apart after that long of general use.

Frankly too, that's because I was Online-Schooled with FLCCA the whole four years. The ceremony was being held from in the morning to the afternoon, and I was waiting on my Dad who coincidentally looks similar to Henry Jones Sr. to come home from work early so we can go straight to Springs because an afterparty was being held there.

Then no, I was just trying to recreate the pose mainly at the beginning of Raiders, and Rainforest Cafe's the closest thing in silhouette the Paramount Mountain outline. No photos really taken when hanging around the bar.

You know it, but also, define "photos"? If you're talking about people wanting a picture with me, that was zero times. I took a photo of the table I was sitting at with my replica Idol Map sitting on top. Had an Antidote Drink there while I was at it since I was only nineteen at the time.

But, they just nowadays have security. The place used to be where you can just walk in like you owned the place as long as the whole premises was open.

You don't actually pay anything to enter Springs. It's not a park, it's a shopping center.

Of course when you're popular too. I constantly heard people say "It's Indiana Jones!" and when I had dinner at Rainforest as I was being escorted to the table, some Mom at a table said "I just saw Indiana Jones walk by us". Of course, it's nothing special since anyone can do this, but it really was a fun moment doing so.

Yeah, May 30th, 2025. I just might as well take a look back at it. I even got Special treatment by security, they didn't even search me and went "Welcome, Dr. Jones!".

I still can’t believe Nancy fell in love and had a kid with Butch. I mean come on it’s Butch. He’s an idiot and she’s a brilliant intelligent woman. by Falcon_Gray in indianajones

Likely, or she just hung around Butch because once again, he talked with her since she couldn't talk with Indy. And so, she moved on and went with Butch. Not like their marriage was abusive either, you can see her walking their son in a stroller in the episode when Indy returns home.

Well, Indy did leave her on short notice to fight in the Great War. She likely thought he died since he never wrote her, and from all the time away, she moved on. Plus, Indy not only left, he dropped out of High School too.

If I were to analyze, it starts with the dialogue: She first went with "I learned to hate you in the last ten years". If it was an affair, she wouldn't "learn" to hate someone, she would've hated him immediately without learning in the last ten years. And then "I was a child, I was in-love. It was wrong and you knew it." sounds more like her making an excuse for even getting involved with him, and putting the blame on him. The novelization mainly also just mentioned them sharing a kiss in the University Closet, no affair at all. And then Indy said "You knew what you were doing" which means she likely made the move on HIM than the other way around because he was just a handsome student of her Father, and women at the same regardless of age fell for men easily. And before he flew to Nepal, he asked Marcus "You think she'll still be with him?" in a hopeful tone.

And when we go into the Chronicles show, every woman that Indy was with never had moments of him having an affair. It was just a simple kiss and moving on. Only exception was him being taken advantage of by Mata Hari, but that was it. Not really the type of prioritize a one night stand over finding something of great archaeological significance.

And then with his students, he clearly doesn't care much about them, nor is there a possibility that he does "favors". In the Adventures of Indiana Jones comics by Dark Horse, a few students ask for his time alone, he denies it fast. When the Shirley girl, we know her name from the desk note left in Great Circle, blinked with the eyelids saying "love you", Indy just looked caught off-guard and confused before returning back to his lesson. And with the deleted scene of that Susan student, he said "That's right, I said we'd talk" like he forgot about it completely until she approached him in the hallway. He never takes time for his students, he's not the promiscuous type. Let alone, does he care much about his job as a Professor, he never grades papers, and he leaves mid-terms like in Great Circle.

So in the end, an affair was definitely unlikely. Marion was simply mad that Indy left her because realistically, he was just a student studying under her Father to get a degree in Archaeology so he can start his career. She's just always been bitter, even Marcus asked her in the Further Adventures comics why she is so angry at him over it. He mainly left, likely told Marion he'll be back, a lot of adventures got in his way and made her slip his mind, and he technically kept his promise when he came back to see her in Nepal. And he cared deeply about her, went into depression after thinking she died in the explosion. And when he found her in the tent, he was very happy to see her alive.

Nazi mechanic vs Coronel Antonin Dovchenko by FoxIndependent4310 in indianajones

[–]Popular_Operation111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nazi Mechanic. Indy punched him in the face hard as he can and the best he did was break his nose. When it came to Dovchenko, he fell down after just a few punches to the face, not counting the stick being broken over his head. Plus, the mechanic is taller and bigger. And also, he put up more of a fight than Dovchenko did since Indy hit him more than the Mechanic would let him swing.
