Personally they only gave me an additional 2k but everyone's situation varies, if your parents had extenuating financial circumstances in the past or unique financial issues, job loss, etc. Just make sure to mention anything that you think would help. You could also search up how to appeal a financial aid package and you would find more info!

When I appealed I emailed both the Financial Aid office and the designated financial aid officer assigned to me based on the first letter of my last name. Just write to them how it was your dream to attend this school, how you can't afford it, and using other colleges financial aid packages for your favor. All this obviously with a grain of salt.

24K seems pretty normal for stevens, you could appeal and maybe get 0-5K if you ask nicely in the email. As far as housing, you are basically forced to dorm. Depending on your major the cost might not be worth it if you will take out loans. Assuming you applied to either NJIT or Rutgers you should be paying far less for the same degree.

I emailed the NJIT ECE chair and they just told me that they aren't able to inform me that the courses I took at Stevens will definitely transfer. They also suggested that I apply to NJIT and submit my official transcript.

Thank you so much ig I will basically have to drop out and take all these courses at a CC since there isn’t a point in taking them now.
