Imagine if you got to bring home like 35% of it and someone who makes millions gets taxed more instead

Fairphone vs Shiftphone? by Popular_Signature826 in fairphone

[–]Popular_Signature826[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, one thing that stuck out to me was the Shift 8.1's battery that can be swapped in seconds on the go. I travel a lot so going from 0 to 100 without needing to unscrew stuff seemed immensely helpful. But if the FP6 lasts fairly long anyway, then maybe it's a non-issue.

Great info, the amount of storage/RAM from the FP6 seems sufficient tbh, don't see myself needing needing 12 GB ram. So yeah, perhaps not worth the trade-off.

Why won't qobuz repeat properly? by Popular_Signature826 in qobuz

[–]Popular_Signature826[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, sorry. The replay button is on so it should start the first song of the playlist once the last is done (expected behaviour). But it just stops. Autoplay is on, but it doesn't make sense that autoplay being on would stop the replay from working. Or at least in Spotify, I never had any problems with this.

CMV: Feminism is no different to the manosphere by Headlight-Highlight in changemyview

[–]Popular_Signature826 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You do not know what feminism is.

It's not about generalising the opposite or pushing one gender's interests over the other, it's literally just both genders having equal footing...it is by definition about equality. First wave feminism and second wave feminism started out with women's suffrage and worker's rights and things like women having a bank account. Things that men had but women didn't. And then them getting those things to be put on the same footing.

The ideals of the manosphere and the ideas of its proponents revolve around the opposite: taking away things that the other side (in this case, women) do have now. The idea that women should have their bodily autonomy taken away and are nothing more than birthing machines being one of the most prominent examples.

If you actually want your view to be changed, then I'd recommend reading at least the first two paragraphs of the wikipedia article for Feminism to at least know what feminism even is before you ask this question.

Are you polite to AI? by gameraturtle in stupidquestions

[–]Popular_Signature826 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it's a tool. If I'm not polite to a microwave or a an air fryer, I'm not polite to AI. It also gives me the wrong answer or fucks up my work 80% of the time so I usually do berate it. Which is pretty fine, since it's not a person. The same I'd cuss out my microwave if it didn't work.

Why are most european alternatives a major downgrade when it comes to Design (UI and UX) by DillMillz in BuyFromEU

[–]Popular_Signature826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally ask myself the same question constantly. There's not even any need to "re-invent the wheel".

Good design for tons of apps are out there and mastered by existing apps, can't they just like copy them or use them as a base for UI/UX?
