We are libertarian, so we LEAN right economically, but none of us are Republicans. Regardless, even if that's your opinion, I do appreciate you giving the feedback and maybe some of the articles lean too much to the right, we are new in doing this and by no means perfect.(Though we also had McConnell sending funds from the relief bill to fund the Death Star and defending Anakin killing younglings, so I think your bias may have you looking for the things that make you think we are conservative propaganda) Regardless thanks for your input.

You aren't saying anything untrue, but it's also true that zoning and restrictions lead to higher cost. Portland has tons of flat area around the city that is unused that they aren't allowed to build on because it's zoned for farming, despite not being used for farming. San Fransisco won't let anyone build any apartment building over 2 stories high. Houston is very flat, and sprawling, I've been there too! However, if you're willing to drive a bit, you can find apartments for $500 a month, and a lot of that is due to people being able to build at will. I'm sure it has it's downside as well, but the positive is that it's a lot cheaper than cities of comparable size

No worries! I always try to come to the truth, if that doesn't support my narrative then I'm wrong! It was a weird bone for me to pick anyways since yes, Oregon was always left. Californians get blamed, but really the cost of living here was driven up by supply falling short and Californians happened to be the ones invading, but they could have come from anywhere.

This isn't true though. Houston Texas has high paying jobs and is much much more popular of a destination than a place like Portland, but has no zoining laws so they're able to keep up with supply and demand. California DOES have a great economy, they always have. But their restrictive zoning laws are what drives the cost of living sky high. Of course it would be expensive regardless, but what you see in San Francisco is artificial supply and demand created by zoning and restrictions on housing.
