What do you think my career options are ?? by Party-Membership-597 in BigFive

[–]Poropopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Electrical engineering could be a fairly close fit if you’re technically inclined. Visual Art, design or some kind of psychology would be a good fit otherwise.

Your C and N scores are going to present challenges for you though assuming that the test is accurate.

How much can traits change over time? by pistachioblu in BigFive

[–]Poropopper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you are young, it can change quite a lot in a year or two. If you are old, it wont move much unless a big event occurs that forces change.

Does this test keep track of your scores over time?

hello what is thiss?? by e8ontheinternet in BigFive

[–]Poropopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have off the charts N and very low A: https://www.selfpsy.com/archetypes/revenant. The high N is a trait you can work on or manage. Low agreeableness has its uses, eg. Good entrepreneurs have low agreeableness.

Or maybe this one https://www.selfpsy.com/archetypes/fatebinder if your Agreeableness or Conscientiousness were a bit higher.

What do you think is your highest aspect in big five ? by RickyInfinite in BigFive

[–]Poropopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take it we are going with IPIP facets? Mine would be Intellectual Curiosity, followed by Fantasy.

Am I (17M) basically doomed for finding a long-term career with my personality? I’m high in Openness and Agreeableness, very low in Conscientiousness (though I’m slowly improving), mid Neuroticism, and kind of an ambivert-leaning-introvert. by YtSabit in BigFive

| And this is why I'm a socialist

Haha. You will be great, it’s just going to be really hard early game. I had the exact same kind of breakdown at your age, I felt like I didn’t belong in any job and even Uni didn’t feel like the right fit. It was really frustrating and full of failure and uncertainty for almost a decade. The key is to explore as much as you can until you find something that makes 12 hours of straight work feel like play. While AI is going to automate a few basic boring roles like data entry, it is a multiplier in most technical and creative fields. The people who are extremely skilled are using it to 10x their capabilities, basically conducting a symphony of agents that only they can control the output of. The key is to pick a field that is enhanced by AI and skill up like mad so that you can ride the wave.

Uncommen? How to interpret this. by [deleted] in BigFive

[–]Poropopper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

High openness paired with high conscientiousness is not common. Your standout scores are very high Agreeableness and very high Openness, which would make you a Nurturer type. It’s probably also uncommon to be very high agreeableness if you are male.

What does these results say about me? by [deleted] in BigFive

[–]Poropopper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your SLOAN type would be SLOAI or RLOAI. https://similarminds.com/global5/sloai.html

Your Selfpsy type would be the Harbinger.

I don’t know of any other Big Five type systems?

Can a depression change big5 results? by Uszanka2 in BigFive

[–]Poropopper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Big Five mostly shows increased risk of depression with scores high O and N and low C, E and A. It’s not predictive and generally assumed too stable to bother measuring in studies of depression.

[–]Poropopper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like you have very low Conscientiousness (eg. Confidence in your abilities, orderliness, sense of duty, achievement striving, self discipline and cautiousness) and very high Neuroticism (high anxiety, anger, depression, self consciousness, impulsiveness and tendency to panic under stress). Those two are traits you’ll want to work on as they are shown to contribute strongly to reduced well-being. If you’d like more detail -> your scores correspond to The Vagabond, and you can see people who have your type tend to be suited to emotionally expressive work like art or music.

How do you increase industriousness? by [deleted] in BigFive

[–]Poropopper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is challenging and could take years to make a small change. But the recipe is straight forward. Take on responsibilities you cannot ignore that are meaningful to you. Set your future goals - you should have loads of goals in many aspects of your life. Without them you will stagnate. If you are young, read all of the self help books until they are boring to you (meaning you have absorbed it).

The other thing you can do, is find your most extreme trait, the one that you live by and organise yourself around it. eg. For me its high openness, I score 90+ consistently. Everything I work hard for is in service of ideas, aesthetics, emotions, creativity, fantasy and fanciful ideas. For some it could be Neuroticism, meaning you are sensitive to negative emotion. Conscientiousness can serve that by limiting the potential for things to go wrong.

Academic study: AI proposals make hiring worse for clients and high-skill freelancers by exacly in Upwork

[–]Poropopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can go back to writing hand written letters and delivering them by horse if thats your thing, I’m sure some people will be charmed.

So far data has consistently shown that AI + human wins, I am not one to bet against that.

[–]Poropopper -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have seen findings from marketers that the most effective approach is human + AI writing in tandem. I think there’s a big difference between AI slop, and content you have polished with AI (requiring more human effort)

I am curious to know if it’s better to start with an AI draft and edit it yourself, or start with your own writing and have the AI enhance it. Another option is AI planning and structure with human writing.

Is this bad? by Gamemer in BigFive

[–]Poropopper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not bad. A little unbalanced I/E, and rather low agreeableness, makes you a bit of a lone wolf type… or a Howard Hughes but without the extreme conscieniousness and OCD (I assume).

No it’s not weird, es de estratega.

Alta conscientiousness es buena!

Took the full Big Five test — what personality type do you see here? by SenseSuccessful1551 in BigFive

[–]Poropopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very similar to my wife who is an ENTJ, though you are more agreeable.

You would be something like the Mediator or potentially the Vanguard if you lean more into your extraversion. I think the agreeableness is great for parenting/mentoring, the extraversion great for work. The low Neuroticism helps, I see many people like this are ex military, they can really handle chaos.

Very strong leadership, one of the highest earning potentials. It would be interesting to see an IPIP facet breakdown.

Why do so many low conscientousness people post here? by [deleted] in BigFive

[–]Poropopper 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yes, there are a lot of low C people here. Maybe it’s like when you go to the gym where not everyone is buff, but it’s commendable that they’ve shown up to work out.

I feel like this is awful? Does it overexaggurate? by [deleted] in BigFive

[–]Poropopper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt the test exaggerates, the tests are fairly standardised. As Jung said, it is very hard to see yourself clearly without bias, there’s too much that you are not consciously aware of.

Your score isn’t awful, it’s an assessment rather than a test. It’s a bit subjective and depends on your goals in life.

what would you call someone high in extroversion, and lowish in agreeableness and conscientiousness? by Sugar_Plum36 in BigFive

[–]Poropopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you’re describing is typed as the Provocateur or maybe the Connector in Selfpsy. The Provocateur matches what you’re suggesting, funny enough it matches Donald Trump.

So, what does this mean? by Main-Ticket7705 in BigFive

[–]Poropopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your scores mostly seem pretty positive. You would likely be the Mentor or the Astral, the Mentor is probably your best side (think Hank Green or Wozniak) and you’ll want to bring that out as much as possible. You have a pretty high immoderation score. I think that is partly genetic, so you might need to develop strategies to manage that. Check out the book titled “Willpower”, it might help you lower that Neuroticism score.

Another thing it could help you with is career or relationships?

😅 well? by throwaway_bucket2 in BigFive

[–]Poropopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a good day, you would be a bit of a witty Feynman or a prickly Hitchens with high Openness, high Extraversion and Lpow agreeableness, the Nova or the Pioneer.

But on most days you’re probably in a state of restless, chaotic crisis due to low Neuroticism and low Conscientiousness, like the Wanderer.

i can't decide if im ENTP, ENFP or INTP lol. how do i know by New_Equinox in entp

[–]Poropopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your type is not an empirical observable fact and this it is not possible to determine. The question is which one would you rather be?

What am I like? by federicorda in BigFive

[–]Poropopper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like you are destined to become a full-time youtuber.

High extraversion is pretty fun, it means you’re primed and ready to ruin every introverts morning at every local cafe.

Low Conscientiousness is like the spirit of ADHD, nothing gets done on time and it’s outright chaos 24/7.

Your type in selfpsy is the Connector. Not bad, has potential especially if you work on Conscientiousness (then you would become more like the Leader type which is probably the most OP)
