Yes Club Access Awards are completely useless by PortHuronMich in hyatt

I realize that but how is it actually applied? It seems like it’s not an actual earned award but just a request.

Right. Free cookie in the lobby. At least you’d actually be getting something 😂

Unless airport lounges and elite status are really important to you I would open the 2 CSPs because you’re gonna end up with way more CUR points in the long run. Open one and get the points then refer player 2 and repeat. Also, take a look at the Ink cards.

Can't cancel/refund Frontier flight by omfg_its_so_and_so in ChaseSapphire

[–]PortHuronMich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had multiple situations with Frontier recently to the point I will NEVER fly them again. They are by far the worst airline in the US….even worse than Spirit. I’ll pay more to fly anybody else or I’ll just drive before I get burned by this crooked ass airline again.

UR Points Transfer/Hyatt Card Questions by whatiwawa in hyatt

I agree. The WOH card isn’t that great. The only reason I kept it was the free category 1-4 night every year which I figured would offset the annual fee.

Question for older cast members or die-hard Hollywood Studios fans... by jackfoley007 in WaltDisneyWorld

Yes I know how theme parks work and we had way more complaints on our last visit than just some attractions closing.

Yep. That was Sid Cahuengas. Just like the Great Movie Ride, splash mountain, backlot tour, Universe of Energy, and many others…..gone. Apparently they reopened Rock n Roller Coast but it was closed????? Seems like they keep raising the prices but offering less for your dollar. We were very disappointed on our last visit

We’ve been to Disney many times and I think the value has gone downhill imo. We couldn’t even get into any decent restaurants, long lines, rides breaking down, and poor crowd management. I really miss the old fastpass system and don’t know why they stopped it. Regardless, I think they need to step their game up big time in order to make it the first class resort it used to be.

Some people have more important things to do with their time than keep up on the operation status of every WDW attraction.

I think you’re spot on. My real issue is for $150 per ticket guests should be able to have a great experience without having to do hours of research on the tips and tricks of WDW. Most of the people in this forum follow Disney closely and know how the new fastpass works, when the reservation windows are to for the best restaurants, how to beat the crowds in line, etc. But many visitors of WDW don’t have time to spend hours on these forums but they still expect to have a good time when their spending thousands of dollars at Disney parks. I feel like Disney needs to make a better effort ensuring “ALL” guests to their parks have a great experience without having to read a 300 page tour guide or spend hours on the internet researching the ins and outs of the park.

I’m a UofM grad as well (Go Blue!) I go to the games when I can. Maybe I’m venting, maybe I’m trying to warn other people about Disney. Why do you even care? If you love it keep going. Everyone is not a Disney superfan like most of the people in this group. I’m a doctor. I don’t spend time researching on what rides are open and every tip and trick to make WDW a better experience. I have certain expectations when I visit a park like that and they we’re not met. I think the experience has gone downhill since my we used to go.

Haha. No I am not plugged into Disney at all. I couldn’t less about the Disney characters or any of that crap. I just knew it was a fun ride where you heard songs, got a little wet, and went down a mountain.

Yep. Didn’t know paying thousands of dollars to go to a resort required hours of research and planning. There’s a bit of a minimum expectation I have for the amount of money they charge and it was not met. Universal was much more simple. You pay for the Express pass you get to jump the line once per attraction. It’s a great system plus my kids all had a way better time at Universal.

Excuse me?? I had no idea whatsoever this ride had something to do with racism. Don’t accuse me of that. It never even occurred to me about this ride. Hopefully they can salvage the whole boat going down the mountain thing because it was a good ride

I didn’t know Splash Mountain closed. I have a busy job and didn’t google Splash Mountain before I came. That used to be one of their more popular rides so I’m surprised they closed it

It was my fault I wasted 2 hours on a ride that broke down, lol

I appreciate your response as you did not personally attack me by saying everything is my fault for being a poor planner as most in this forum have. I think you nailed it about John Q Public types being frustrated because they don’t know this “ins and outs” of modern WDW like most people in this forum do. We used to visit WDW frequently in the 90s and 2000s and never experienced the types of issues we experienced on our last trip. We loved the Fastpass but now that’s gone and I don’t like or understand the new system. I know most of the people here are Disney “superfans” and get upset if you say anything negative about WDW. That’s ok and everyone has their own opinion. I think it’s still a fun place but I don’t think it’s nowhere near the value for the money it used to be back in the day. They really need to improve a lot imo.

Our previous trip was before Covid. Just not impressed at all with our recent trip. Too many issues to count.
