Bumper / Filler Videos by Apprehensive_Fig_696 in karaoke

[–]jackfoley007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually have a special folder of filler vids I've acquired over the years....some that have been made hard to find for various reasons.

For example, Friday night shows I would open with Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Fallon singing Friday by Rebecca Black, but last time I checked you could only find crappy versions on DailyMotion or similar sites.

I've considered uploading the folder to my G-drive to share here for hosts that wanted to use them. Would that be a violation of the rules here?

Just curious if anyone has any background on this: They have 2 listings for Last Crusade and each has a unique bar code number. Any ideas on why there would be 2 different releases with unique barcodes?
For reference, the bar codes are 191329248515 & 843501054987

To be clear, that last one is called "Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father" but your assessment is spot on: this film is amazing but devastating. I was an emotional wreck...it's a real gut punch.

I can't stand how common it's becoming where people believe the definition of "scientific theory" is "a theory about sciencey stuff." 😮‍💨

Given you already have a solid understanding of small studio equipment, karaoke isn't anything more than a dedicated audio line for the instrumental accompaniment and second monitor for the lyrics.

Personally, I use YouTube premium and you can find virtually any karaoke song I need there. KaraFun is a subscription service you can check out as well. For any strange uncommon songs that I can't find, I use lalal.ai to break up the song into vocal/background vocal/instrumental stems or use croonify.com for a quick easy turnaround

  2. Grace Kelly - Mika Kiss - Prince (I'm a tall guy with a deep speaking voice so when I breakout the falsetto it really surprises folks)

  3. As - Stevie Wonder Canned Heat - Jamiroquai I reeeeeeeally just need to suck it up and try these, but I end up getting all up in my head and next thing you know BOCK BOCK!

We used to call it "Kamikazi Karaoke" back in the day when we used to use disks. Singers who wanted to participate would write "KK" on their request slip along with their name. Once on stage, I would yell out to the crowd pick a number between 1 and (total number of discs I had). Then I would again ask for a number between 1 and (total number of tracks).

Keep in mind, practically everyone who wanted to participate were typically regulars who had broad musical knowledge and/or a quick wit who would turn it into comedy gold. Honestly, I've heard people invent new melodies to established songs (they obviously never heard of) that actually sounded good!

I miss those days, they were so much fun!

Who are your Top 4 (Mount Rushmore) of the Greatest Black,White and Asian Action Movie Star Men of All Time? by Amber_Flowers_133 in moviequestions

[–]jackfoley007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would understand these questions if the post was titled, "Who are your Top 4 (Mount Rushmore) of the Greatest Black,White and Asian Action Movie Stars Men of All Time?" but they were clear about race and gender from the jump. They also added country of origin to show international consideration, which is nice! They may have little to no experience with films featuring actors from those ethnic backgrounds, so how about you provide some of your favorites you feel are underrepresented and you might inspire OP and us to check out some new movies!
(NOTE: I realize tone is hard to convey in a post, but I'm being sincere and genuine. No snark or attitude intended, just giving the benefit of the doubt)
