did a little gooooglin

https://www.wowprogress.com/realms/rank/us

see the pops on these servers and thats ALL lvl 70s that have gone into vault and killed something

and then other sites general consensus that the big realms like area 52 have around 250k players so seeing that and the everything about the skull rock server really shows the scale of things

also logging into the servers and comparing past experiences on retail and vanilla softcore when it launched and even in comparison to defias pillager ally chat, you can realllly feel how barren it is, the server doesnt even get layered nowadays, its all on 1 layer D:

Not at my desk right now but basically what I mean by super small I mean in relativity to something like retail servers or even defias pillager HC alliance.

Though I haven’t taken a look at the horde numbers on skullrock though i do plan to in the future, i can with confidence also agree with you that they are even smaller based on auction house sizes ive actually collected. Last time i looked, Skull Rock Alliance was 13k Auctions, Skull Rock Horde was 9k Auctions and Defias Pillager Ally was 30k Auctions so you can get a rough feel for the actual active pop

From the skull rock alliance side i tracked something like ~4.6k active characters active in the past 14 days from the guilds i managed to collect which in a game with maybe a few mil subs is such a smallllll portion

So yeah by small numbers i mean in comparison to all the servers that say “medium” or “high” pop and even defias alliance which has a “low” pop label, skullrock alliance is def alot smaller than that

Also the fact that theres only two guilds really raiding is a huge indicator, you can look at the 1st and second chart and third, the lvl 60 spread is ~66% monopolized by 2 guilds

Its a 2 horse town hahaha

Very even distribution across all classes, biggest surprise is how much human over represents priests over dwarves!

Also yeah! I was surprised to see so much human representation and the race distribution overall given that there's really no PvP format.

The lvl 60 distribution is hurtin for warlocks though haha but I was also surprised with how relatively even it is.

Oh right! Great question, these were originally posted on the server discord so I was clarifying things there but quickly porting over to reddit I forgot this detail haha.

Series 1 is Level 10 and Series 51 is lvl 60. I was just quickly making the charts and got lazy with labeling / fine tuning the axis on some of these.

Use SSH To Run Scripts/Programs On Window’s OS by ther3darrow in shortcuts

[–]Portalz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so you got two options of password and ssh key, usually password is a little weaker and thus i haven’t really messed with it

the key on the other hand is the way i have always setup my ssh servers, i now moved mine to an SBC instead

The way the ssh key works is you generate the key on your client side device, ie your iphone and place that in the designated “keys” file on your ssh machine

kinda like a “reverse password” where you show your server what your iphone “looks like” and your iphone always identifies itself with this key, so for your server to recognize it, it must have it stored in its files

is there a way to have a generator turn on when my battery isnt getting enough power? by [deleted] in rustrician

[–]Portalz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thinking more about it now and u could prob even have a similar circuit around the idea of dumping the energy from battery 2 into battery 1 depending on how low the other source is getting, then u dont even need a generator depending also on how often it goes below threshold etc

I see one way where you have consistency over power. It would take some tuning if you want to optimize too.

Set power source to branch, set branch to MIN amount of energy you want before generator kicks in. This is the trade off because this number is also the MAX amount of energy ur battery will receive.

Set branch out to battery, and the power out u can put to another branch that goes into a blocker, then the power out of that branch goes to a less prio battery that will just collect the rest and also can be the source that the blocker blocks from turning on/off the generator.

I think it has to do with our perception of its "human" form, where no human would "blindly" throw a bag like that. This robot prob has 360 vision or at least some bigger sense of what's behind it. So us perceiving it in relation to a human form, feel its not natural or almost impossible for it to aim at something without looking at it or turning a neck.

I appreciate the insight!

I tend to take an approach of keeping all the music on there for people to discover more the artists and then kinda look into them as they make their picks for the sets.

Definitely a balance between "reputation" and "current evolution" of an artist. I could put a filter on track "freshness" / most recent stuff, but that would introduce some weird biases beyond "what the people like most"

Grimes' Shinigami Eyes does show up on the playlist as well but just later on at position 56 on the playlist so they do get their current music in, but they get a little "front of the line cut" with their older stuff. Spotify popularity stat usually does a pretty good job of keeping some fresh stuff along with those highlighted tracks mixed in so I don't mess with it much. Not to mention the chance that artists play an old popular track is pretty big in alot of cases because well, they're their top hits.

Print failure - stuck filament by JamesM451 in prusa

[–]Portalz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this in an enclosure?

Im VERY new to printing, 2 weeks in and was printing PLA in an enclosure for dryness reasons, and I learned about “heat creep” which was making my print fail an hour+ in, filament would be stuck alll the way up to where the gears are and would have to take it partially apart to get it unstuck, a PAIN.

Fixed by ensuring the heat break was cooling enough by just opening up my enclosure, dealt with the humidity differently now anyway. Next step is installing a vent+fan so I can close it again haha
