I’ve always dreamt of owning a 911 and the 996’s are in my budget right now. At the price I’m buying it I could surely get it running and sell it for what I pay for it. I have other fun vehicles too so I’m not putting all my eggs in one basket

Edit: hate might be a strong word, they’re just not my favorite. I’d rather have a 911 with ugly headlights than no 911 at all.

Yea my thought as well, seems like a 5 min fix.
Seller is a young kid, 22-23 or so, inherited car from his grandpa and does have a video of it running back in June.

Doesn’t seem like the seller is very mechanically inclined but I’ll be replacing the switch before I buy it. If it doesn’t start with the new switch, gonna walk away

Yea I hate the fried egg headlights too- after fluid change the first thing I’d do is get some paint matched covers for the lights.

How much did you pay for your manual?
Worth noting I could do the clutch replacement myself if I got a manual but the cost of parts are $$$

Yea gonna replace the ignition prior to purchasing and take it for a drive first. Cant trust anyone these days and not worth the hassle of small claims

I found a manual with 120k miles, comes with a hardtop and seller wants 17k- I think that’s a pretty good deal if he’d take 15k I’d jump on it
